We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith and hope, lifting up this request for healing and restored health of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers' wombs (Psalm 139:13). We know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, including the gift of sight, and we ask that You would restore what has been affected by this surgery.
Lord, we pray for complete healing of the retina and surrounding tissues. We ask that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals involved and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over this situation, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also pray for patience and peace during this recovery time. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help to trust in You with all of our heart and lean not on our own understanding, acknowledging You in all our ways so that You can direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. It is in His precious name that we pray, believing that by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that this healing will be a testimony to Your glory and a witness to Your power and love.
We commit this need into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Amen.
