Eyesight

We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up this request for healing and restored eyesight after retina surgery. The Scriptures remind us that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. In Jeremiah 30:17, the Lord declares, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 146:8, we read that *"Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind."* These promises assure us that nothing is impossible for our God, who is able to restore and renew even the most delicate parts of our being.

Yet we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. While we earnestly pray for complete restoration of sight, we trust in His sovereign will, knowing that even in suffering, He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If this trial persists, we pray for strength, patience, and an unwavering faith that clings to Christ, who is our hope and healer.

We also take this moment to encourage a heart of worship and trust, regardless of the outcome. Job, in his affliction, declared, *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him"* (Job 13:15). May this be our posture—trusting God not only for healing but for His perfect plan in every season of life.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of life and for the intricate way You have designed our bodies. Today, we lift up this beloved one who is in need of healing after retina surgery. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would touch their eyes with Your healing power, restoring sight and bringing full recovery. Remove any inflammation, scar tissue, or complications, and let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their eyes.

We pray for the doctors and medical professionals involved in their care, asking that You would grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment. Guide their hands and decisions as they work to bring about restoration.

Father, we also ask that You would strengthen the faith of this dear one. In moments of doubt or fear, remind them of Your promises and Your faithfulness. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to fix their eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Lord, if there is any area of their life where they need to draw closer to You, reveal it to them. May this trial be an opportunity for deeper trust and surrender to Your will. We pray that through this experience, they would testify to Your goodness and healing power, bringing glory to Your name.

We rebuked any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan, you have no authority here—this body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we command healing and restoration to take place. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this dear one is healed (1 Peter 2:24).

Finally, Father, we thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May this situation be a testimony of Your grace and power to all who witness it.

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
