We join you in lifting up this need for healing and restored eyesight following retina surgery, and we are grateful you have brought this request before us in the precious name of Jesus. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, for Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). What a mighty and compassionate Savior we serve, who hears our cries and works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
The Lord is our Healer, and we stand on His promises, such as *"I am Yahweh, your healer"* (Exodus 15:26, WEB) and the words of Jesus Himself: *"I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life"* (John 8:12, WEB). How fitting that the One who formed your eyes in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16) is the same One who can restore and renew them. We pray that as you recover, you would fix your gaze not only on physical healing but also on the spiritual truth that Christ is your ultimate light and hope.
We also encourage you to trust in the Lord’s timing, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even as you wait, may you find peace in knowing that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). If fear or doubt arises, remember the words of Jesus to the blind man in Mark 10:51-52: *"What do you want me to do for you?"* The blind man replied, *"Rabboni, that I may see again."* And Jesus said, *"Go your way. Your faith has made you well."* Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way. Let this be your declaration as well—*"Lord, that I may see!"*—and trust that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and power. You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together and sustains every part of our being. We lift up our brother/sister to You now, asking for Your healing touch upon their eyes. Lord, You who formed the intricate details of the retina and gave sight to the blind while walking this earth, we ask that You would restore their vision completely. Let every cell, nerve, and vessel be renewed by Your hand. Remove any inflammation, scar tissue, or complication, and grant them clarity and strength in their eyesight.
We pray for wisdom and skill for the medical professionals involved in their care, that they would be guided by Your knowledge as they monitor the recovery. Father, we also ask for patience and peace to fill their heart during this season of healing. Guard them against anxiety or discouragement, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good.
Lord Jesus, just as You opened the eyes of the blind to see the physical world, we pray that You would open the eyes of their heart ever wider to see Your glory, Your love, and Your faithfulness in this trial. May this season draw them closer to You, and may their testimony of Your healing power bring honor to Your name.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or attack of the enemy against their health, for *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). Satan has no authority here—only the blood of Jesus prevails. We declare that their eyes are being restored in Jesus’ name, and we thank You, Father, for the victory that is already won.
May they walk in faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), trusting that You are their Healer, their Provider, and their Strength. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
