Eyesight

We come before the Father with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and restored eyesight following retina surgery. The Word of God assures us that our Lord is the Great Physician, the One who sees our afflictions and hears our cries. In Jeremiah 30:17, He declares, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 146:8, we read that *"the Lord opens the eyes of the blind."* We claim these promises today, trusting in His power to bring complete restoration.

Yet we also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Even in waiting or in outcomes we may not fully understand, we hold fast to His goodness, knowing that He works all things for the glory of His name and the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If there is any fear, doubt, or impatience in the heart of our brother or sister, we pray that the Holy Spirit would replace it with unwavering trust in the Lord’s sovereignty. Let them rest in the truth of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t fear, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

We also rejoice that this request was lifted up in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). May this truth be a constant reminder of the hope and authority we have in Christ.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon the eyes that have undergone surgery. Lord, You formed every part of us with precision and care, and we ask that You would knit together what has been wounded, restoring sight and strength according to Your perfect will. Remove any inflammation, scar tissue, or complication that may hinder full recovery, and let Your healing power flow through every cell and nerve. We pray for clarity of vision—both physically and spiritually—that our brother or sister may see Your works and give You all the glory.

If there has been any fear or anxiety about this surgery or its outcome, we ask that You would replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Remind them that You are near, that You hold their future, and that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give them patience in the healing process and a heart that continues to trust in You, even if progress feels slow.

We also pray for the medical professionals involved in this care. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they monitor the recovery. May they be instruments of Your healing, and may they see Your hand at work in ways that point them to You.

Lord, we do not take for granted the gift of sight, nor the temporary trials that draw us closer to You. Use this season to deepen faith, to refine character, and to testify to Your goodness. Whether through complete physical healing or through the strength to endure, may Your name be magnified.

We thank You in advance for what You are doing, believing that You hear us and that our prayers are pleasing in Your sight because of Jesus. May this recovery be a testimony of Your grace and power, and may it lead others to seek You.

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**
