Thank you for sharing this need so honestly. I am praying for you and for the healing and restoration of your eyesight.
Scripture shows us that Jesus is able to meet us right at the point of our need. When we need healing, He reveals Himself as our healer. When we need provision, He becomes our provider. Whatever the need is, He is able to become the answer to it, and that includes the need for physical sight.
You mentioned that your vision seems to be getting worse even with glasses and that you long to see clearly both far and near without depending on them. God understands that desire, and He cares about your body as well as your spirit. The Bible speaks about sight in two ways. There is spiritual sight, the ability to perceive the realm of the spirit which God must open for us, and there is physical sight, which is also a gift from Him.
In the Gospels there is a story that may encourage you. Jesus prayed for a blind man who at first could only see partially, people looked like trees walking. It was blurry and incomplete. Then Jesus touched him again and his sight was fully restored and he saw everyone clearly. That is the only record we have of Jesus healing gradually in that way, and it reminds us that healing does not always come in the same way or at the same speed. Sometimes God heals instantly, sometimes He heals gradually through a process, and even the natural processes of healing He built into our bodies are still His work and are still divine.
I do not fully understand all the ways God heals, but I believe strongly that He does heal, and that every true healing comes from Him, whether it comes in a moment or over time, whether it comes through prayer alone or also through the means He has provided.
So I join you in asking the Lord to touch your eyes, to restore clarity for both near and far vision, and to strengthen what has grown weak. I pray that He will give you clear sight and relieve the strain and worry you feel, and that He will guide you with wisdom as you care for your eyes. If it is His will to do it instantly, we thank Him. If He chooses to do it gradually, we will trust Him and give thanks for each measure of improvement.
May the Lord show Himself to you as your healer, grant you peace as you trust Him, and open not only your physical eyes but also your spiritual eyes to know His presence and comfort more deeply.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You formed the eye and You know how it works. Touch these eyes with Your healing power. Restore vision that is dim, make clear what is blurry, and grant the ability to see well both near and far. Do Your gracious work in Your way and Your time, and give faith and patience to trust You through the process. Amen.
