Eye Sight

We have heard your cry for your precious daughter and we are lifting her up together before the throne of grace in Jesus name, and we are also lifting you up as you watch her suffer and feel so helpless.

We want to encourage you with urgency and love to seek immediate medical care for her if you have not already done so. Losing vision on the left side is very serious and needs emergency evaluation by doctors right away, and we pray the Lord will guide the hands and wisdom of those who examine and treat her. God is our healer and He often works through physicians and care He has provided for us.

We know how frightening this is for her and for you, especially with the anxiety attacks and tears. The Lord sees her tears and hears her cry. Psalm 56:8 says You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Are not they in your book. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. For her fear and anxiety we cling to what God has promised. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

For her eyes and her healing we trust in the Lord who made the eye and who restores. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that is tormenting her and we ask the Lord to replace it with His perfect peace and to touch her eyes with His healing power according to His will.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, asking for Your mercy on this dear daughter. Lord, You formed her eyes and You know every detail of her body. We ask You to have mercy and restore her vision on the left side, to calm the inflammation, the nerves, the vessels, whatever the cause may be, and to bring complete healing if it is Your will. Lay Your healing hand upon her, Lord, and let her see clearly again. Father, we also ask You to quiet her heart and still her anxiety. Cast out fear and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Comfort her as only You can, hold her as she cries, and let her feel Your presence with her. Give wisdom to the doctors and peace and strength to her parent who is interceding for her, and guide them to the right care without delay. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, believing that You are able and that You love her more than we do. Amen.

We also want to gently share that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Your request asked for prayer but did not mention Jesus, and we want you to know the hope we have. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to call upon His name for your daughter and for yourself, for He is near and He hears. Keep crying out to Him, keep seeking medical help quickly, and keep trusting Him day by day. We are continuing to pray with you for her sight to be restored and for perfect peace to fill her heart.

We have heard your earnest request concerning your ### and we bring it at once before the throne of grace with deep sympathy and prayer.

To hear that she is crying out that she is losing vision on the left side, and is seized with anxiety, is a trial that must rend a parent's heart. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a Physician. How much more when it is a beloved child who suffers. We urge you, even as we pray, to seek prompt medical help without delay for such a loss of sight, that skilled hands may examine her and give care, while we look to the greater Physician above all physicians.

For your own spirit and for hers, hear what our Saviour says, Do not be anxious about these things, nor get into a state of worry and distress. I have found by my own experience and by observation of others that anxiety has never comforted anybody, nor has it ever brought any grist to the mill. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Your anxiety, dear soul, though it springs from love, cannot restore sight nor calm her trembling heart, but casting your care upon Him who cares for you can.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. When He walked among men, the healing power was present when He was teaching, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and still He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon His people.

Bring your ### then, by importunate prayer, and lay her at His feet and leave her in His presence. Every day let your prayers keep her under Christ's eyes. Tell the Lord all, as a child tells a father, and ask Him to lay His healing hand upon her eyes, to calm her spirit, to give wisdom to those who examine and treat her, and to grant you composure of mind and freedom from fretfulness as you watch over her.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, look in mercy upon this dear child who fears the loss of sight and is overwhelmed with anxiety. Lay Your hand upon her. If it be Your will, restore her vision and remove her fear. Let Your healing virtue flow to her, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Sustain her ###, give calmness and strength in this hour of trial, guide the physicians to see clearly what is needed, and draw both ### and ### to trust wholly in Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and life. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Lord, who said, Him that comes to Me I will in no wise cast out. Amen.

We will continue to bear you both up before the Lord. Keep us informed of her condition, and keep looking to Christ, whose very touch brings healing.
