Exposing to the sun, wisdom, skin color, joy...

Servant of All
Excellent day today for me, my mother and my brother.
Wise exposing to the sun for me (beach).
Me getting phenomenal.skin color without sunburn.
Me full of energy and happy. My mother to.

We rejoice with you in the blessings of this beautiful day that the Lord has made! It is wonderful to hear of the joy, energy, and favor you, your mother, and your brother have experienced. The sun, the beach, and the radiance of God’s creation are indeed gifts meant to remind us of His goodness and provision.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 19:1, "The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork." Every moment spent in the beauty of His creation is an opportunity to reflect on His majesty and to give Him thanks. We are also reminded in Ecclesiastes 3:13 that "also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God." Your gratitude for this day is a reflection of a heart that recognizes God’s hand in all things.

However, as we celebrate these blessings, we must also remember that true joy and wisdom come from seeking the Lord above all else. James 1:17 tells us, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow." While the sun, the beach, and even our physical appearance can bring temporary happiness, our ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ alone. We encourage you to seek His wisdom and to let His light shine through you in all circumstances, not just in moments of joy.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and for the blessings You have poured out upon [redacted] and their family. We praise You for the beauty of Your creation, for the warmth of the sun, and for the joy that fills their hearts. Lord, we ask that You would continue to fill them with Your peace and wisdom, that they may walk in Your ways and find their ultimate joy in You. Help them to see Your hand in every good gift and to give You the glory in all things. May their lives reflect Your light, and may they grow closer to You each day. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that while physical appearance and the pleasures of this world can bring temporary happiness, they are not the source of true fulfillment. The world often places great emphasis on outward beauty or fleeting experiences, but God’s Word tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7, "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'"

True beauty and wisdom come from a heart that seeks after God. Proverbs 3:13-15 says, "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies. None of the things you can desire are to be compared to her." Let us strive to cultivate wisdom, godliness, and a heart that delights in the Lord above all else.

May you continue to walk in the light of Christ, finding joy not only in the blessings of this day but in the eternal hope we have in Him.

What a joyful update to receive! We’re genuinely smiling as we read about your excellent day with your mother and brother. Days like that are gifts, simple, unhurried, filled with sun and family and a lightness of heart that seems almost too good to be ordinary. It’s wonderful to pause and just receive it.

We imagine the three of you there together, enjoying the warmth and the rhythm of the waves. The gift of a happy, energetic day is something to treasure, and we’re so glad it came to you today. Your desire for wise sun exposure and to avoid sunburn tells us you want not just the moment’s pleasure but to steward it well, to enjoy the afternoon and still wake up comfortable and at ease tomorrow. That instinct to ask for practical wisdom, even about something as simple as sunscreen and shade, is a mark of a heart that’s learning to invite God into every detail.

We pray with you that this day’s happiness keeps settling into your spirits. For you and your mother, may the physical energy and the inner brightness spill over into the evening conversations and the quiet moments, too. May this day become a small anchor of joy you can look back on when you need encouragement.

Father, thank you for this mother, this son, this brother, and for the day you gave them to share. Thank you for the gift of sunlight and rest. We ask you to guide them in wisdom about the sun, to protect their skin, and to let the goodness of this day continue to lift their hearts. Refresh them with joy that runs deeper than circumstances, and draw them close to each other and to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The sun’s warmth upon the skin, the gladness of a day beside the sea with those you love, these are mercies indeed, tokens of a kind Providence that scatters good things upon the just and the unjust. Yet let us not mistake the outer glow for the inner light, nor a complexion bronzed for a heart renewed. There is a way of wisdom that the vulture’s eye has not seen, and the lion’s whelp has not trodden: it is the path of God, the knowledge of the Holy One, wherein joy is not found in the health of the body but in the healing of the soul. To be full of energy and happy is pleasant, but to be full of the Spirit and holy is eternal gain.

Your request speaks of wise exposure, yet the truest wisdom is to expose the soul to the Sun of Righteousness, whose beams do not scorch but save. The tan will fade, the mirth of the beach will ebb with the tide, but the joy that flows from Christ’s presence is a perpetual spring, rising even when the flesh is weary and the day is gray. Did you note that the energy you felt, the gladness shared with your mother, these are but echoes of a deeper music? They are the harpsichord’s tinkling while the organ of redemption rolls its thunders. Thank God for them, but do not rest in them, for unbroken prosperity and undisturbed health may be signs of being given over unto death if the heart grows content with husks and forgets the Bread of Heaven.

I perceive a danger in your words: a satisfaction with surface joys, a speaking of physical appearance as ‘phenomenal,’ when the angels marvel at a different beauty, the beauty of holiness, the fair colors of a contrite spirit. What if the day had brought sunburn, or clouds, or sickness? Would joy have fled? The wise saint learns to sing in the furnace, to find health in the bruising, and to trace the Father’s loving wisdom even in the chastenings that preserve from pride. He keeps us from falling into the idolatry of happy moments by sometimes withdrawing them, that we may learn to say, ‘The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.’

Yet I would not quench the smoking flax of your thankfulness. It is right to note His goodness in the visible creation. The sun is His servant, the shore His gift, the family bond a relic of Eden’s design. But let your gratitude not stop at the porch of the palace; press in to the throne room! Prove your thankfulness by tangible deeds of service to Him who gave you these hours. Did your mother’s heart sing? Then remind her that Christ can put a new song in the mouth, even praise to our God. Did your brother share the mirth? Then lead him, by gentle words and a holy life, to the fount where joy never runs dry. The best ministry of gratitude is to labor that others may taste the exceeding joy of being kept from falling and presented faultless before His glory.

Beware of the ingratitude that feasts on the crumbs and neglects the feast. If you have not yet come to the wedding supper of the Lamb, all this is but the condemned man eating a hearty breakfast on the way to the gallows. I pray the day’s pleasantness may be a spur, not a cushion, a voice calling you to seek a city whose sun shall never go down, where the skin needs no bronzing because the glory of God will light it. There is a way of joy as high above earthly happiness as the eagle’s path above the mole’s burrowing. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and that way will open before you, and you shall know a joy that labors for expression, that rivals the angels’ singing, and that silences the soul in adoring awe before the throne.

The Lord give you wisdom to number your days, and to see in this sunny hour a parable of His light, which can fill the spirit with energy for His service and prepare you for an eternal day where there is no need of the sun, because the Lamb is the light thereof.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of an excellent day, of sunlight and gladness shared with your mother and brother. It is good to give thanks to the Giver of all good things, for from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. But take care that this joy does not cling only to the body’s health and the skin’s color. These are fleeting; they wither like the grass.

The wisdom you call wise, avoiding sunburn while darkening the skin, is but a small prudence of this world. Yet the true wisdom is Christ, whom God made unto us wisdom, and His foolishness is wiser than men. Do not parade your well-being as the Pharisee did his fasting, for the devil snatches away such boasts. Rather, learn the thanksgiving that confesses, “We have sinned, we have transgressed; Thou art righteous, O Lord.” That is the joy that fills the heart indeed.

If you are full of energy, spend it on deeds of mercy; if your mother is happy, let her happiness overflow in prayer and almsgiving. For the joy of angels is not found in bronzed skin, but in one sinner who repents. Seek that joy which is unmixed, the joy of the Kingdom, attained by choosing not what is pleasant but what is profitable, and bearing all things with thanksgiving. May your family’s delight in the sun lead you to the true Light, which enlightens every man, so that your names may cause heaven to leap for joy as did the Apostle’s.

Give thanks, then, not with words alone, but by withdrawing your souls from vanity and cleansing them by alms and prayers. To Him be glory forever. Amen.

What a joy to hear of the excellent day you shared with your mother and brother at the beach. The sun, so powerful and vast, can be both a gift and a danger, but you used wisdom to enjoy its warmth without harm. That kind of prudence is more valuable than we often realize, and it points to something deeper: that true wisdom begins with revering God, and understanding comes from turning away from what is evil. Even a simple pleasure like soaking in the sun becomes richer when we live in that fear of the Lord.

When you stand under that great light, it’s easy to feel small, and we are. If you could hollow out the sun and set our whole earth inside, there would still be room to spare. Yet the God who made it all, whom the heavens cannot contain, is the same God who lifts up the lowly and fills them with energy and gladness. He commands the sun and seals up the stars, but He also sees you and your family on that beach. Your joy was not an accident; it came from His hand, a taste of the goodness He delights to give.

May you and your mother continue walking in His wisdom, finding rest and safety in His care. And may days like this remind you that His gifts are many, and that the happiest life is one lived in reverence before Him.
