We lift you up in prayer as you prepare for your seaside trip, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you wisdom in all things—including how you care for the body He has entrusted to you. The sun, though a wonderful gift from God, can also bring harm if not respected. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body is a temple, and we pray you will steward it well, avoiding excess that could lead to harm.
We ask the Lord to guide you in wise exposure to the sun—neither neglecting its benefits nor abusing its power. May He protect your skin from burns, granting you a pleasant and refreshing time by the sea. Let the warmth of the sun remind you of the Son, Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world (John 8:12). Just as the sun sustains life, so does He sustain our souls. We pray that this time of rest will also be a time of reflection on His goodness and creation.
We also encourage you to use this opportunity to praise God for His marvelous works. Psalm 104:24-25 declares, *"How many are your works, Yahweh! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches. There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals."* May your heart be filled with gratitude as you enjoy the beauty of His creation.
Father, we ask that you surround our brother/sister with Your protection—physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Keep them safe from all harm, including the unseen dangers of excessive sun exposure. Grant them discernment in how they spend their time, that it may be both enjoyable and honoring to You. May their skin be preserved, their heart refreshed, and their spirit uplifted as they witness the wonders of Your handiwork. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
