We hear your cry and we stand with you in prayer, for we know how painful it is when those in authority and those alongside you seem to work against you and seek to harm your name and career. We know the Lord sees your distress and He is your defender and your refuge.
We take comfort that nothing is hidden from God. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known, Luke 12:2. The Lord knows everything going on in darkness and He will bring truth into the light in His perfect timing. We also remember that promotion does not come from man, For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another, Psalm 75:6-7.
At the same time we must gently correct the spirit of this request, for we are called not to seek revenge or to desire to be exalted in the faces of our enemies out of pride. The Word tells us, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. And again we are commanded, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44. To pray for God to expose others so that we may be promoted before them for our own vindication can harbor bitterness and pride, and God desires humility and a heart that trusts Him to vindicate in His way. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, 1 Peter 5:6.
So we encourage you to release this burden fully to the Lord and to not repay evil for evil. Continue to walk in integrity, do your work heartily as unto the Lord, and commit your name and your career to Him, for when a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, Proverbs 16:7. We encourage you to pray not only for justice and protection, but also for the repentance and salvation of those who oppose you, that any wrongdoing would be brought to light so that truth and righteousness may prevail and all involved may be led to repentance.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our advocate and our righteousness. You see all that is happening in this workplace, every hidden motive, every word spoken in secret, and every scheme formed in darkness. We ask You to shine Your light upon the truth and to expose any injustice, deceit, or harm intended against Your child. Protect his name and his career from slander and evil intent, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. We ask that You guard his heart from bitterness, anger, and the desire for revenge, and fill him with Your peace, humility, and love even for those who oppose him. If it is Your will, promote him according to Your purpose and timing, not for pride or to shame others, but to glorify You and to place him where he can serve You more faithfully. Convict the hearts of the leadership and coworkers where there is wrongdoing, bring them to repentance, and let Your justice and mercy be done. Help him to trust You as his vindicator and to rest in the knowledge that You are his defender and his rewarder. We pray all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

It is hard to carry this kind of pressure day after day, especially when you cannot control what others say behind closed doors. We find it helps to focus on what you can steward faithfully while you trust God with what you cannot see. One steady step that often brings both clarity and peace is to keep a simple private record of what has happened, dates, what was said or done, and any witnesses, written calmly and factually, and to seek one wise, discreet counselor outside that workplace who can help you think through next steps with perspective. Continuing to do your work with integrity and kindness, even under strain, also lets the truth speak over time.
Father, we lift our brother to You. You see all that is hidden and You know the burden he is carrying about his reputation and career. Your prayer has been heard and your distress is understood. It is a painful thing to feel that those set over you and those who labor beside you have taken crafty counsel against you, and it is right to bring that burden to the Lord who sees what is done in darkness and will bring it to light.
The Scripture teaches us to pray, Rise up, O Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You. The Psalmist also cries, For, lo, Your enemies make a tumult and they that hate You have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted against Your hidden ones. When the enemies of God's people gather, the Lord Himself marks it, for nothing is hidden from His eye. He has promised concerning Christ, His enemies will I clothe with shame, and in His own time He will vindicate righteousness and make truth to shine as the light.
We join you in praying that the Lord will shed light upon what is hidden, that every scheme and false word would be exposed, that your name and your work would be guarded by His hand, and that no weapon formed against you would prosper beyond what He permits for your good and His glory. We ask that if there is injustice, the Lord would make the truth plain to those in authority, and that He would establish your steps and your testimony in that place.
Yet we must also pray as those who have been enemies of God and have been reconciled by the blood of the Cross. While we were yet enemies, Christ died for us, and we who have received such mercy are called to a life of self denial and love even toward those who oppose us. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay. Our calling is to commit our cause to Him who judges righteously, to walk in integrity so that no just accusation can stand, to bless and not curse, and to pray for those who despitefully use us, that God would bring them to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth.
Therefore we pray not from a spirit of revenge or pride, nor that you might be exalted for vainglory in the sight of others, but that God would lift you up in due season if it be His will, and that any promotion would be a platform for faithful service and for the praise of His grace. May He keep your heart from bitterness, clothe you with humility, and make your life to adorn the doctrine of Christ.

Your pain over what feels like an attack on your name and career is heard, and it is right to bring this burden to the Lord, because He does see what is done in darkness and He is the only true judge.
God's word teaches that justice belongs to Him, not to us to claim for ourselves. Vengeance is the Lord's, and He will repay in perfect righteousness. At the same time He mingles mercy with justice, and He calls those who suffer to show the same mercy they have received. That is why Jesus teaches us not simply to endure being struck or wronged, but to go further and to bless those who persecute us, to pray for those who seek to harm us. This is a higher way, and it leads us upward, because it keeps our hearts from being hardened by bitterness.
It is also true that God often allows hard seasons, even persecution or unfair treatment, to prune and strengthen us, as a gardener prunes a fruitful branch so it will bear more fruit. That does not make the wrong right, but it means He can use even this trial for your good, to refine your character and to deepen your trust in Him.
So I want to pray with you not for humiliation of others for its own sake, but for truth to come to light, for justice tempered with mercy, and for your heart to remain clean before God.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, You see all that is hidden and You know the truth about this workplace situation. We ask that You bring what is true into the light in Your way and Your time. Protect this one's name and work when they are acted against unjustly, and give wisdom to act with integrity, honesty, and grace in every interaction. Guard this heart from desiring revenge, and teach it to bless and to pray for those who cause harm, desiring their repentance and good rather than their destruction. If it is Your will, open doors for good work and for promotion according to Your purpose, not for pride or to shame others, but to give You glory. Let Your will be done in the leadership and among coworkers, softening hearts, bringing conviction where it is needed, and bringing peace where there is strife. Keep this one rooted in Christ, trusting that Christ alone is our salvation and hope, and that our vindication rests in Your hands. Amen.
Continue to walk faithfully, do your work with excellence, speak truth without exaggeration, keep a clear record where you can, seek wise and godly counsel, and commit your reputation and future to the Lord who judges justly and loves mercy.
