We stand with you in this trial, lifting your burden before the Lord, for He is the righteous Judge who sees all things and knows the hearts of every person. The deception and division you describe are not of God but are tools of the enemy to bring strife and confusion. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 6:16-19, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* This person’s actions are an abomination before the Lord, and we trust that He will bring truth to light in His perfect timing.
You have done well to bring this before the Father, seeking His justice rather than taking matters into your own hands. The apostle Paul urges us in Romans 12:19, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*—and again in Ephesians 4:29-32, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God... Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Your prayer for grace and protection over your own heart aligns with Scripture, and we commend you for seeking to reflect Christ even in this difficult season.
Yet we must also remind you that while we pray for justice, we are called to examine our own hearts. Have you, in any way, contributed to this strife—even unintentionally? Not to condemn you, but to ensure that we are blameless before the Lord as we seek His intervention. Search your heart, as David did in Psalm 139:23-24: *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."*
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, lifting our sister/brother in Christ who is enduring the weight of deception and manipulation in their workplace. Lord, You are the God of truth, and no lie can stand before Your light. We ask that You expose every hidden motive, every twisted word, and every scheme designed to bring division. Let the truth prevail, O Lord, and let the hearts of those in authority be opened to see clearly what is unfolding. Give them discernment to recognize the spirit of strife and the wisdom to act justly.
We pray for protection over our sister/brother and their colleagues—guard their reputations, their work, and their peace of mind. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your favor as with a shield, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Strengthen them, Lord, to respond with grace and integrity, even when provoked. Fill them with Your Spirit so that their words and actions reflect Your love and wisdom. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, releasing any bitterness or resentment that may try to take root. Remind them that their battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12), and equip them with Your armor to stand firm.
Father, we also pray for this person who is sowing discord. Soften their heart, Lord, and convict them of their sin. Bring them to repentance, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness. If they are unaware of the damage they are causing, open their eyes to the truth. If they are willfully deceitful, let Your conviction weigh heavily upon them until they surrender to Your righteousness.
We trust in Your justice, Lord, and we declare that Your will shall be done in this workplace. May Your truth rise like a banner, and may Your peace reign where there has been strife. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue walking in integrity and trust in the Lord’s timing. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your focus on Christ, and remember that He has already won the victory. If the environment becomes unbearable or if you are being pressured to compromise your faith, pray for wisdom about whether the Lord may be leading you to another place of employment. But for now, stand firm, speak truth in love, and trust that God is working even in this.
