Prayer Warrior
I'm exhausted and depleted, mentally, physically and emotionally. I have to contact my estate agents and landlord tomorrow regarding a rent shortfall (albiet a short one) which i will be able to pay a week Monday after my rent goes out. I'm so anxious, I've not slept peacefully these past 2 nights on top of sickness. I don't know what to do, please lift this up in prayer as I'm trying hard to be positive and hopeful. Thank you and Amen

We hear your cry of exhaustion and we lift you up together before the Father in our time of prayer. To be depleted mentally, physically and emotionally while also carrying sickness and anxiety about your rent is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and cares deeply for you in this moment.

The Lord invites us to bring this very kind of weariness to Him. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We are also told in 1 Peter 5:7 to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Your anxiety about contacting your estate agents and landlord, and your sleepless nights, are not hidden from Him. He wants to exchange your anxiety for His peace, as we read in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. For your sleeplessness and sickness, we cling to Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones, and to Isaiah 40:29, He gives power to the faint. To him who has no might he increases strength. And for your fear about provision, we remember Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We encourage you to face tomorrow's conversation with honesty and peace. Contact your estate agents and landlord promptly and explain clearly as you have shared with us, that there will be a short shortfall that you will be able to pay a week on Monday. God honors integrity and diligence, and He often softens hearts when we walk in truth. Remember His promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Matthew 6:31-33 to seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Continue to be positive and hopeful, but let that hope be anchored not just in positive thinking, but in the character of God who is your provider and your healer.

We noticed your prayer closed with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why this matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are told in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To know God's rest and peace, we must first come to Him through faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon His name today, for in Romans 10:9 we read, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace for our dear one who is exhausted and depleted. Lord, You see the sickness, the two nights without peaceful sleep, and the anxiety about the rent shortfall. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon their body and to grant them deep, restorative sleep tonight. Quiet their anxious thoughts and guard their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them strength where they have no might and renew them as they wait on You. Provide for this financial need according to Your riches in glory and grant favor with the estate agents and landlord tomorrow, giving our loved one words of clarity and calm and giving those who hear grace and understanding. Help them to rest not in circumstances but in You, knowing You are with them and will uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Draw them ever closer to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and find true rest for their soul. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to keep casting your cares on Him each time anxiety rises, to rest in His Word, and to take practical steps of self care, prayer, and honest communication tomorrow. The Lord is near to you and He will carry you through this week.

We hear how heavy these last few nights have been for you, carrying exhaustion in your body, worry in your mind, and sickness on top of it all. Trying to stay positive while you are running on so little sleep is hard work in itself, and we want you to know we are lifting you up with care.

That call to your estate agent and landlord tomorrow feels big when you are already depleted. It may help to make it a little more manageable tonight by writing down just a few simple lines to say: the amount of the shortfall, that you will be able to pay it a week on Monday after your rent goes out, and that you wanted to let them know ahead of time. Having it on paper can keep you from having to find the words on the spot when you are tired and anxious. If you can, plan to make the call at a time when you feel most rested, and let someone you trust know you are making it so they can be praying with you right then.

We also noticed you mentioned sickness and two nights without peaceful sleep. Alongside prayer, if that continues please do reach out to your doctor to have it checked.

We are praying for you now.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring our brother or sister to You in this place of exhaustion and worry. Give rest tonight, calm the anxious thoughts, and give clear words and kindness in tomorrow's conversation. Provide what is needed and remind them they are not carrying this alone. Amen.

We have heard your cry of weariness and we do not pass it by lightly. To be depleted in mind and body and spirit at once, to lie awake night after night with sickness upon you and anxiety pressing upon your chest, is a sore trial, and we would not coarsely upbraid you for your fear but rather sit down and weep in sympathy with you and bear your burden to the throne of grace.

Our Saviour has said, Do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care, anxiety and distress. His injunction means, Do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. This does not mean we are to be imprudent or careless, for we are to be honest and diligent and to owe no man anything beyond what is right, but it does mean we are not to let the care of these things eat out our very hearts. I have found, and you will find it true also, that anxiety never comforted anybody, nor ever brought any grist to the mill, nor any meal to the barrel. If a thing does not pay, what is the good of it. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty.

You must contact your landlord and agents tomorrow, and you fear it greatly. Go to them with plain and honest speech, as a Christian should, telling them exactly what you have told us, that there is a short shortfall and that it will be made good a week on Monday. That is the prudent and right course, and having done what duty requires, leave the issue with Him who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows. Your Father knows you have need of these things.

Therefore we lift you up in prayer before our God and Father.

O Lord our God, look upon this weary one who is exhausted and sick and sleepless. Thou seest the anxiety about rent and provision which keeps watch over them in the night. Forgive us when we fret and carry burdens Thou hast bidden us cast upon Thee. Give to this dear soul a calm and quiet trust in Thy providence, and help them to take no anxious thought for the morrow but to seek first Thy kingdom. Grant peaceful sleep, restore health to the body, renew strength to the mind, and quiet the heart with Thy peace which passes all understanding. Provide for every temporal need according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus, give favour in the eyes of those to whom they must speak tomorrow, and give words that are honest and gracious. Above all, let them feel Thy presence near, that though they are depleted Thou art their fullness, and though they are anxious Thou art their rest. Keep them hopeful not in mere positive thoughts but in the sure mercies of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and may the Lord keep you this night and in all the days to come.
