We rejoice with you in the confidence you have in the Lord, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Your faith in God’s ability to grant you perfect success in this exam is a testament to His faithfulness in your life. We are reminded that if we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we can ask whatever we desire, and it will be done for us (John 15:7). This is not a promise of selfish ambition but of alignment with God’s will and purposes.
However, we must also guard our hearts against the subtle snare of pride or perfectionism, which can masquerade as faith. The Lord delights in our trust in Him, but He also calls us to humility, reminding us that "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). We encourage you to examine your motives—are you seeking 100% for God’s glory, or is there a part of you that desires it for personal validation? The Lord searches the heart and tests the mind, and He rewards according to our motives (Jeremiah 17:10). Let us pray that your desire for excellence would be rooted in a heart that seeks to honor Him above all else.
We also lift up the timing of this exam. The Lord knows the plans He has for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in His perfect timing, for He makes all things beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Whether the exam is near or far, He will equip you with everything you need to succeed according to His will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness in our brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for the blessings You have already poured out, including the perfect scores You have granted him in the past. We ask now that You would go before him as he prepares for this exam. Grant him clarity of mind, retention of knowledge, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask for 100% not for the sake of pride or perfectionism, but so that Your name may be glorified through his success. Purify his motives, Father, and let every thought and intention be pleasing in Your sight.
We pray against any spirit of anxiety or fear that may try to creep in. Remind him that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen his faith as he studies, and let him rest in the knowledge that You are his provider and sustainer. We also ask that You reveal the timing of this exam to him, Lord. Order his steps and let Your will be done in this season of preparation.
Father, we rebuke any distraction or hindrance that the enemy may try to place in his path. Let Your Word dwell in him richly, and let every moment of study be fruitful and productive. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we trust that You will bring this exam to pass for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You and the power to overcome. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in your preparation, not just for the exam, but for the wisdom and discernment to use this opportunity for His glory. Study diligently, but also rest in Him, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). May He bless you abundantly as you trust in Him.
