We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust in His sovereign will, lifting up this request for exam results. Father God, we know that all wisdom and understanding come from You, as James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask that You grant success according to Your perfect plan, not for the glory of man, but for Your purposes and the advancement of Your kingdom.
Lord, we pray that You would calm any anxiety or fear, reminding this dear one that their worth is not defined by worldly achievements but by the finished work of Christ on the cross. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, fill their heart as they wait for these results.
We also rebuke any spirit of pride or self-sufficiency that may seek to take root if success comes. Remind them, Lord, that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). May they use any talents or opportunities You provide to honor You and serve others, not for selfish ambition.
If the results do not come as hoped, we pray for a spirit of humility and trust in Your greater plan. Help them to see that setbacks are not failures but opportunities to lean more fully on You. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." May they find comfort in knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and that You are working all things for their good and Your glory.
Above all, we pray that this season would draw them closer to You. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that You will provide for all their needs. Let this time be a testament to Your faithfulness, Lord, and may they grow in their dependence on You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, through whom we have access to the throne of grace. Amen.
