Beloved Servant
Please pray for my ex to come to faith in Christ. Pray for his health especially amidst serious and life-threatening health problems. Pray for his healing from trauma and emotional/behavioral issues. Pray for God to give him a wake up call to stop behaving in dysfunctional ways. Thank you.

We join you in lifting up your former loved one before the Father and we are moved by your compassion for his soul even after your relationship has ended. It is a Christlike love to pray for his salvation above all else, for we know that physical healing is temporary while eternal life is forever. Scripture tells us that God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. Our greatest prayer for him must be that he would come to true faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to the Father except through Him.

We also bring his serious and life threatening health problems before the Lord who is the Great Physician. We pray for mercy and for healing according to God's perfect will, remembering that he forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and the promise where the Lord says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, Jeremiah 30:17. Even as we ask for his body to be healed, we ask that God would use this time of affliction as a wake up call to draw him to Himself, that he would see his need for the Savior and turn from dysfunctional and destructive ways.

We pray as well for his deep inner wounds, for the trauma and the emotional and behavioral struggles that have shaped him. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We ask God to give him a new heart and a new spirit, as He promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26, and to transform him by the renewing of his mind, Romans 12:2, so that he may no longer walk in old patterns but be made whole in Christ. We ask the Holy Spirit to convict him, to open his eyes, and to grant him repentance and the strength to walk in wholeness and self control.

We pray for you as you intercede for him, that God would give you peace, wisdom, and healthy boundaries. We encourage you to continue to forgive as Christ forgave and to entrust this man entirely to God's hands, not taking upon yourself what only God can do. If there is ever any thought of reconciliation, we encourage you to remember that God's design is for a lifelong marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers, and that any courtship should be with the goal of a God honoring marriage to another Christian believer, for we must not be unequally yoked. For now your role is to love him through prayer while guarding your own heart and walking closely with the Lord.

Father, we lift this man to You together in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your mercy upon his body, touch him and heal him if it is Your will, and above all save his soul. Draw him to Yourself, convict him of sin, open his eyes to his need for Jesus, and grant him faith to believe and be saved. Heal his trauma, bind up his brokenness, renew his mind, and break the chains of dysfunctional behavior, that he may walk in newness of life. Give him a true wake up call that leads to repentance and lasting transformation. Comfort and strengthen the one who prays for him, give her Your peace that surpasses understanding and help her to trust Your perfect will and timing. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope, amen.

Thank you for bringing your ex to us in prayer. We can hear how much you still care for him, wanting most of all that he would know Christ, and also carrying concern for his health and the hurts that have shaped him.

It is a heavy thing to watch someone you were once close to face serious health struggles while also wrestling with trauma and patterns that keep hurting him. Ongoing illness and past wounds can leave a person feeling fragile and overwhelmed in body and mind, and it often weighs on those who love them as well. Your prayers for his healing and for a moment of clarity are a loving way to stand with him before God.

We will keep praying with you. One gentle encouragement alongside prayer is to be sure he is connected to good medical care for those life threatening health concerns, and to trusted support for the trauma he carries, if he is open. We cannot fix these things for him, but we can keep entrusting him to the One who can reach his heart and body.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus name. Draw him to Yourself and open his heart to know Jesus as Savior. Have mercy on his health and bring him the care he needs. Bring healing to his wounds and give him wisdom to turn from what harms him and to walk toward what brings life. Give our friend peace as she trusts You with him. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing this soul before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show mercy according to His great compassion.

We pray that God, who alone is the Giver of repentance unto life, would grant to this man that true repentance which is worked in the heart by the Holy Spirit and which gives glory to God. We do not ask merely for a carnal sorrow that comes from fear of judgment or from affliction, for judgments alone may produce a repentance after the flesh that does not save. We pray instead for that godly sorrow which leads a sinner to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, to confess sin, to turn from it because of the love of God who died for sinners, and to trust wholly in the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross. There are no conditions of salvation in ourselves, salvation is by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, and we pray that this man may be brought to look unto Christ and be saved, to believe on Him with a sincere faith, however small, that he may not be ashamed.

We pray also for his body in this hour of serious and life threatening affliction. The Lord is the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, and the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. We ask that if it be the Lord's will, He would lay His pardoning and healing hand upon him, restore his health, and use even this sickness as a voice to awaken his conscience. When the Lord comes to dwell with a soul, pardon and healing come together, and we pray that temporal healing, if granted, would be accompanied by the far greater healing of the soul, the forgiveness of sins through faith in Christ.

We pray for his deliverance from trauma and from those patterns of thought and behavior which have marked his life as dysfunctional. We ask that God would grant him a true awakening, not only to see the bitterness of his ways, but to see the sweetness of Christ, that he may be made whole, that his nature may be changed, and that he may be upheld by God's free Spirit to walk in newness of life. May the Lord restore unto him, if he believes, the joy of salvation and keep him from falling again.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will pursue him with convicting and converting grace, that he may be saved to the glory of God alone, beside whom there is no other Saviour. May the Lord also comfort and strengthen you as you wait upon Him, and keep you faithful in prayer, trusting all to Him who hears the cry of those who seek Him. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this burden and for your love and concern for this man. We join you in bringing him before the Lord in prayer, asking for what is truly good for his soul and body.

We pray that God in His mercy would draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we are saved, and we ask that the Holy Spirit would open his eyes to see his need for Christ, to hear the Scriptures, and to receive the gift of repentance and faith. As the Scriptures teach, when we search them carefully and hear God speak, our hearts are softened and we are led toward salvation and a right life. We pray that he would come to know that truth and be made new.

We also lift up his health before the Lord. God knows the serious and life threatening problems he faces, and we ask for mercy and healing according to His wise and loving will. We pray that in his affliction he would be sobered and awakened, that suffering would not be wasted but would lead him to seek God, to turn from what harms him, and to find true life.

We pray for his healing from trauma and for freedom from emotional and behavioral struggles and dysfunctional patterns. We do not ask God to bless what is broken or harmful, but to transform him. We pray that God would give him a clear wake up call, that he would see his ways honestly, grieve his sin, and turn to walk in holiness and self control. We ask that God would teach him to live with a careful mind, with strength and steadiness, and with a continual love for the Word of God, which alone can renew the heart.

We pray for you as well, that God would give you peace as you entrust this man to Him, that you would continue in prayer and in the Scriptures, and that you would rest in God's longsuffering and His desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Father, have mercy on this man. Save him, heal him as You will, and lead him into a new life in Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
