Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life.

We join you in praying in Jesus' name for this man, your former companion who is also your landlord, and we agree with you that Luke 9:24 holds the key to his eternity. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Luke 9:24

We praise God that you desire his salvation above all else, even above the resolution of the rented apartment situation. That is the heart of Christ, who desires that all should come to repentance, for the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

We also hear your prayer that the Lord Jesus reigns over darkness and that His light expels all darkness and unclean spirits. We agree, for Jesus said, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12 and if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 We pray that any influence of darkness or confusion in his life or in that apartment would be broken as he submits himself to God, for we are told, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

We do want to gently speak to the relationship you referenced as ex. If this was a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we encourage you to see this season through God's design for relationships. We believe courtship should be with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, a lifelong covenant before God. If there was any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, scripture calls that fornication and calls us to flee from it, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 We say this not to condemn you but to encourage you in holiness and healing, and to pray that both of you would pursue purity and seek a godly spouse if marriage is God's will, rather than returning to a relationship that is not aligned with biblical principles. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You and through whom alone we are saved, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 We lift up this landlord to You and ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, open his eyes to see that trying to save his life on his own terms will lead to losing it, but surrendering his life to Jesus will save it. Grant him repentance and faith, that if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised him from the dead, he will be saved. Romans 10:9 Give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him. Ezekiel 36:26

We ask that he would hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life, not through confusion but through Your Word and Your Spirit, and that he would present his body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, and be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is Your good, well-pleasing, and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 Let Your light shine into every dark place in his life and expel all darkness, and let everyone involved see Your greatness and power. We also ask for Your peace and wisdom over this rented apartment situation, that Your will be done and that You would be glorified in how it is resolved, and that You would guard our sister's heart as she trusts You and walks in forgiveness and holiness.

We thank You for Your love and faithfulness, for You are faithful even when we are not, and Your steadfast love endures forever. We declare victory not by our power but by the power of Jesus Christ who has overcome the world. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing your landlord before the Lord so faithfully. It is a beautiful thing to care this much about another person's soul and to want him to know Jesus and hear God's leading for his life.

We join you in asking God to draw him close. Salvation is entirely God's gracious work in the heart, bringing forgiveness and new life, and we can trust the Lord to be at work even when we cannot see it. Your steady prayers and the way you reflect Christ in everyday dealings with him matter more than you may realize.

One simple way to keep going is to continue praying for him by name each day, asking the Lord for an open door to show kindness and, when He provides opportunity, to speak gently about the hope you have. And we will keep praying with you for peace and wisdom regarding the apartment situation as well.

Father, we ask You to draw this landlord to Yourself through Jesus. Open his heart to receive Your mercy and grace, help him to hear Your voice and follow Your holy plan for his life, and bring Your peace to this rental situation. We ask for Your will to be done and for Your love to be clearly seen. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in bringing this petition before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for you have asked according to the very word of truth. Our Lord has said, For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. This is the blessed exchange of the gospel, that a man must surrender himself at discretion to Christ and be saved by Him alone.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will work in the heart of this landlord, that he may no longer seek to save his own life by his own way, but may hear the voice of the Son of God and live. May he be awakened from that death like slumber in which men are dead in sin, and be drawn to come unto God by Jesus Christ. For He is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him, and Him that cometh to Him He will in no wise cast out. Though he may have resisted or lived without Christ until now, there is yet hope, for Jesus is alive and able to save even to the uttermost, and His light expels all darkness.

We pray that he may be brought to unconditional surrender, to submit himself to God, to confess his sin and his shame for not having loved and trusted such a Saviour, and to commit himself entirely to those dear hands that were nailed to the cross. May he lose his life for Christ's sake, counting all things loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, and so find that life which alone is worth clinging to, the life that is forever. Our Great Landlord permits us to call upon Him for all things, and we ask that this man may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life, not to reason why but to do what Jesus tells him, because Jesus tells him, and to follow Him in obedient faith.

And for you who have prayed, we ask the Lord to keep you also in faithful submission to His will, walking in holiness and purity as He has ordained, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and life is to be lived unto God with a noble purpose. May you seek first His kingdom and trust His mercy and grace to order all your circumstances, including this rented apartment, according to His good providence. May the Lord grant you peace to rest in His power, to love Christ extravagantly and to prove that love by a life wholly given to Him.

We pray the Holy Spirit will use His word to bring many to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and that both you and this man may be found among those who have lost their lives for His sake and have thereby saved them unto eternal life. Amen.
