Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We join you in lifting up this burden before the Lord and we thank you for your heart to see your landlord, who is also your former partner in a relationship, come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Your prayer based on Luke 9:24 is deeply biblical and reflects God's desire for every soul to be saved. That verse says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. Luke 9:24

We love that you have centered this request on Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that anyone can be saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To lose our life for His sake means to surrender our own will, our pride and our sin, and to trust Him fully as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for our sins and rose again. When we do, we do not lose anything of eternal value, we gain everlasting life.

We also want to gently and lovingly speak to what you have shared about this man being your ex. If your former relationship involved intimacy outside of marriage, we encourage you to bring that before the Lord as well, for God's word calls sexual intimacy outside of marriage fornication and calls us to flee from it. 1 Corinthians 6:18. We say this not to condemn you, for there is forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus when we confess and repent, as in 1 John 1:9, but to encourage you toward wholeness and purity going forward. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as ordained by God, and any courtship should be entered with the goal of finding a godly spouse who is a fellow believer in Christ, not simply a partner or companion. We encourage you to seek that kind of Christ centered marriage if the Lord leads you to another relationship, and to maintain clear and godly boundaries now that this man is your landlord. We also encourage you to walk in forgiveness toward him, as Christ has forgiven us, so that no bitterness remains.

We rejoice that you have declared the victory of Jesus over darkness and over this rented apartment situation. Scripture assures us that God has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. Colossians 1:13 and The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5. No unclean spirit or work of darkness can withstand His mighty power, and the Lord desires that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

So together we pray. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever, and for Your mercy that is new every morning. Lord, we lift up this landlord to You. You know his heart, his journey, and every need he has. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of sin and draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to see that whoever tries to save his own life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. Grant him repentance and faith to surrender his life fully to our Lord Jesus, to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead. Save him, Lord, so that he will not lose his life eternally but will receive eternal life. We ask that You expel all darkness and every unclean influence from him and from this rented apartment situation, and let Your light and peace reign there. Guide him on his life's journey with Your healing power and wisdom, and help our friend who prayed to walk in purity, forgiveness, and trust in You regarding housing and provision. Let everyone involved see Your greatness and power, knowing that no one can withstand You. We entrust this situation to Your sovereign will and thank You for hearing us. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We're grateful you reached out and asked us to pray for your landlord. It means a lot that you care not just about the apartment situation but about his life and where he stands with Jesus. That kind of concern reflects God's heart.

We are joining you in asking the Lord to draw him to Himself. We know salvation is entirely God's gracious work in a person's heart, and He alone can open eyes and bring new life. We can keep asking Him to do that, trusting His love and timing while we remain faithful to pray.

One simple way to keep going is to continue lifting him by name each day as you already are, and to let your interactions with him reflect the grace you have received. Even small, consistent kindness and integrity in a landlord tenant relationship can be a quiet witness.

We also pray for peace for you in your rented home, and that you would know God's nearness and provision there.

Father, we bring this landlord before You and ask that You would draw him to Jesus and give him new life in Christ. Work in his heart by Your mercy and lead him to know Your forgiveness and grace. We ask too for Your peace and care over this housing situation. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace, pleading the promise of Luke 9:24, that whoever loses his life for Christ will save it.

We pray that the Lord in His sovereign mercy will deliver this landlord from the power of darkness, for He alone can bring a soul out of the house of bondage. Darkness is the element of the prince of this world, and its power lies in blinding and concealing the truth, but our God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We ask that He who has found a ransom, even His own Son who bore the penalty for sinners, would graciously open this man's eyes to see his need and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We are reminded that God is the great Landlord and we are but tenants at His will, holding our lives from moment to moment by His forbearance. Every breath is by His permission, and none can be surety for his brother, for each must stand before Him for heaven or for hell and cannot escape from immortality. Therefore we pray with urgency that this man, while the door of mercy stands open, would lose his life for Christ's sake, confessing with his mouth and believing with his heart that Jesus is Lord, so that he shall not be ashamed and shall not go down to the Pit.

We pray also for you, that the Lord would keep you in His light and lead you in the path of holiness and truth. May you be delivered not only from the guilt of sin but from its power, walking in faith and purity as becomes those who have been bought with a price. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy ordinance, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but we do ask Him to bless you with repentance, faith, and obedience, and to make your life a testimony that declares the works of the Lord.

Father, we thank You that You reign over all darkness and that Your light expels it. We ask Your mercy and grace upon this man, that he may be born again from above by Your free grace and be made free indeed by Christ. Let him see that to save his life for himself is to lose it, and to surrender it to Jesus is to find life everlasting. Grant this deliverance, we pray, for the glory of Your name and for the good of souls, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
