Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting this situation before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your heart for this ex-landlord is evident, and we join you in praying for his salvation and transformation. The verse you referenced, Luke 9:24, is a powerful reminder of the surrender required to follow Christ. Let us expand on this with the World English Bible:

This truth is at the very core of the Gospel. Salvation comes not by our own efforts or self-preservation, but by laying down our lives at the feet of Jesus. We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence, Jesus. Let him experience Your peace, Your mercy, and Your transforming power. May he come to the end of himself and surrender his life fully to You, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We ask that You would replace his hardened heart with a heart of flesh, tender toward You and others (Ezekiel 36:26).

We also pray for wisdom and grace in how to navigate this situation practically. Father, give us discernment to know when to speak, when to act, and when to trust You to move in ways we cannot see. We declare that this apartment situation is under Your authority, and we trust You to bring resolution that glorifies Your name. May this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just for this man, but for all who witness Your work.

Lord, we thank You for Your promise that "if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us" (1 John 5:14 WEB). We know that it is Your will for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and so we stand in faith, believing that You are at work even now. We declare that Your light will shine in this darkness, and Your love will overcome every obstacle.

We were thankful to read your prayer and your heart behind it. Wanting your former landlord to come to know Jesus, even while communication has been so difficult and frustrating, is a beautiful reflection of Christ's love.

Carrying a rented apartment situation where the other person is muted and opposing can be wearying. It is hard to know what to do when every attempt to talk seems to go nowhere. We admire that you are choosing to entrust both the practical situation and his soul to the Lord who reigns over darkness and brings light.

When communication has broken down, it often helps to keep things simple and clear on your side. Keeping a calm written record of what has been said and what is still unresolved can protect your peace and give you clarity if you need wise counsel about next steps. At the same time you can continue to release his heart to God, trusting that the Lord can work even when conversation between you cannot.

Father, we lift this former landlord to You in Jesus' name. Draw him gently to Yourself and open his heart to Your saving grace and truth. We ask for Your mercy over his life's journey. Bring Your peace and wisdom into this apartment matter, guide our friend with discernment and grace in each interaction, and let Your light and faithfulness be seen. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer according to the word of our Lord, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

How true and searching is this word. Our Lord teaches that salvation is not found in holding fast to self, but in yielding self wholly to Him. There is no other way of salvation, for beside Him there is none else. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. To believe on Him is to trust in Him, to look unto Him and be saved, and to depend upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. This salvation is without money and without price, freely offered by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and it is irreversible to all who commit their souls into His hands.

We also remember that the house in which we dwell has God for its Landlord, and we are only tenants. The Great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call us to account, and the rent that is due is not paid in silver or gold, but in a heart made right by living faith in Christ, embracing Jesus as full salvation and receiving the Holy Spirit as Sanctifier. May we each offer the key of our house to Him and acknowledge that we live on sufferance as His tenants.

Lord Jesus, Thou reignest over the darkness and Thy light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits.
