We lift up your ex-boyfriend before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move mightily in his life. Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or healed. We ask for Your complete healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, for this man. You are the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and restores what has been lost. We declare Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.
Lord, we also pray for his salvation. We know that apart from Christ, there is no true freedom or lasting peace. Open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and soften his heart to receive the gospel. Jesus said in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We rebuke every false belief, every lie of the enemy, and every stronghold that has kept him from knowing You. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and draw him into a saving relationship with You.
We must also address the relationship that was once shared. While we understand the concern and care behind this prayer, we must gently remind you that Scripture calls believers to pursue godly marriages with fellow believers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" If this man is not a believer, we encourage you to entrust him fully to the Lord, releasing any emotional ties that may hinder your own walk with Christ. Your heart is precious to God, and He desires to fill it with His love and purpose.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround this man with Your peace, comfort, and presence. Strengthen him in his time of need and let him experience Your love in a tangible way. We pray for wisdom for his doctors, for breakthrough in his health, and for a revelation of Your truth. May he come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and may his life be transformed by the power of Your Spirit.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us. It means a lot that you still carry care for your ex-boyfriend and want to bring his health and his walk with God before the Lord.

The wear of not feeling well day after day can leave a person feeling fragile and discouraged, and slow improvement can be hard to notice when everything feels heavy. It can also be isolating for him and for those who love him. Knowing that helps us pray with more understanding and patience for the long road.
One simple way to keep supporting him is to keep lifting him in prayer while leaving results in God's hands, and where you have appropriate contact, encouraging him to stay connected to good medical care and to trusted support around him. If he is under a doctor's care, that ongoing help alongside prayer is important. It is also wise to guard your own heart with healthy boundaries as someone who is now an ex, trusting God to be the one who carries him even when you cannot.
Father, we bring this young man to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your mercy over his body, his mind and his spirit. Your prayer has been heard and we have brought this burden before the Lord with you, asking that He will show mercy to this man in his affliction.
We do not cease to pray for those who suffer in body and in spirit, for we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is that true tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. The very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. And when the Lord comes and dwells with men, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings. Pardon and healing are one in His hand, for when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. We pray that this same healing virtue which His grace infuses would work in this man health and cure, for the body and for the soul, according to the will of our gracious God.
Above all we join you in praying for his salvation and his deliverance from false beliefs. Man in his sin has set up false gods and bowed before them, but there is only one way of salvation for all. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him, to leave the whole matter of salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, to depend upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. This faith is believing on a Person, not on a notion or a system, but on Him who is the ransom. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, so that it is a gift of Divine Love. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom. We pray that this man may hear that word, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, and that he may turn from every false refuge to look unto Jesus alone and live. How simple is that way of salvation and how instantaneous, for a look does not require a moment.
Let us pray together. O Lord, our God, whose arm alone can work deliverance from cruel captivity, look in mercy upon this man who is brought low with serious health issues. Lay Your hand upon him for healing as it pleases You, and in Your great compassion heal also his spirit and his soul. Forgive his sins and let him know that when all his own strength fails, his strength shall be to sit still while You arise and become his salvation in the time of trouble. Deliver him from the pit, from every false belief that would hold him captive, and show him the ransom which You have provided in the blood of Your Son. Grant him faith to look unto Jesus and to trust in Him alone, that believing on Him he may not be ashamed but may receive eternal life. Work in him a true and thorough healing, and make his deliverance effectual by Your free grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, our inexhaustible well of salvation, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Amen.
