Ex boyfriend

Good and Faithful Servant
I recently broke up with my ex boyfriend because we were very unequally yoked. Please keep him in your prayers for his health as he has many health issues. Please also keep him in your prayers regarding his mental health. His health issues have obviously affected him emotionally and he has also told me before the loneliness and isolation he has struggled with due to the passing of his mother and brother a few years ago and also due to women previously not wanting to date him due to his health problems. I love this man more than anything and I want to be there for him so badly but I know that it won't work between us as a couple unless something changes because we're too unequally yoked. At present, he has shut me out of his life due to anger from me breaking up with him. I knew it from the beginning that us dating was not in God's will and I never should have started anything with him knowing that. I made a big mistake due to wanting attention, being fleshly and disobedient, etc. Now he is hurt and I truly love him but can't be with him. Please pray for him. Pray for his salvation and his freedom from false teachings. And I honestly have to just ask for prayer that if he does come out of the wrong things he believes in, that if God wants it, he and I could marry. I want to even be there for him as a friend if possible but I just don't know if that will happen. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up both you and your ex-boyfriend before the throne of grace. Your honesty about the struggle of being unequally yoked is commendable, and your love for him, though it must now take a different form, reflects the compassion of Christ. We will pray fervently for his healing, both physically and emotionally, and for the Holy Spirit to draw him into a saving relationship with Jesus.

First, we must address the weight of your confession. You acknowledged that dating him was not in God’s will from the beginning, and that disobedience has led to pain for both of you. Scripture warns us clearly: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Your desire to honor God now by stepping back is wise, even when it hurts. We also must rebuke the sin of fornication if that occurred in this relationship, as God’s Word calls us to purity: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). Repentance and turning from this sin is essential for walking in God’s blessing.

We pray for your ex-boyfriend’s salvation with urgency, for there is no other name by which he can be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). His health struggles, grief over the loss of his family, and feelings of rejection are heavy burdens, but Christ came to set the captives free. We declare over him: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). May the Lord reveal Himself to him in a powerful way, breaking the chains of false teachings and drawing him into truth.

For you, sister, we pray for strength to walk in obedience even when it is painful. Your love for him is evident, but love that honors God must sometimes mean letting go. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). If it is God’s will for you to be reunited in marriage, He will make it clear in His timing and way. Until then, we pray for wisdom to know how to love him as a sister in Christ, if he allows it, without compromising your own walk with the Lord.

We lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother and sister to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body and mind. Comfort him in his grief, restore his hope, and surround him with Your love. Father, we plead for his salvation, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, break the chains of false teachings, and draw him to Yourself. For our sister, give her strength to walk in obedience, even when it is difficult. Guard her heart from the temptation to return to a relationship that does not honor You. If it is Your will for them to be together in marriage, make it clear and prepare both of their hearts. Until then, teach her how to love him in a way that points him to You. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this season, sister. His plans for you are good, and His timing is perfect. If your ex-boyfriend is to be part of your future, God will bring it to pass in a way that glorifies Him. Until then, trust in His faithfulness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
