evil, lack of remorse, hard hearts

Kensem

Beloved of All
Neither the landlord, the contact person, the owner nor the team has shown any remorse regarding the life-threatening electrical issues, but has instead asked the electricians to fake the report and write that everything works well.

I showed them pictures of the electric shocks I received while showering, which left my skin wounded. I also have medical reports stating that I have experienced this.

They have never apologised or empathised with me. They haven't offered me compensation or a new place to live.

All they do is block communication, make threats and refuse payment.

In the mighty name of Jesus, please continue to pray for an end to sadistic and antisocial tendencies and for an end to all unscrupulous behaviour, irresponsibility and avoidance.

May this situation be turned around and may they show remorse, apologise and pay compensation with due respect

Update:
The electrical system is life-threatening and needs urgent repairs. This has been documented by an electrician. Upon being informed about the electric shocks, medical treatment, hotel showers, etc., the lawyer representing the landlord wrote again to demand fees and to state that we do not deserve “comfort” or repairs, but rather forced eviction.
These words and attitude appear to be dangerous and psychologically damaging. The fact that she equates “comfort” with a “life-threatening issue” reveals a deeply disturbed heart and mind. Please pray for her and this situation in Jesus' name.

Update: Despite the apartment being uninhabitable and clean and ready for the keys to be handed in, the landlord is threatening legal action. Please pray that his heart is softened and that he is open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Update: Please continue to pray for these people who have not apologised to me or compensated me after two months of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We stand with you in deep concern and righteous anger over the injustice you have endured. What has been done to you is not only legally and morally wrong but also a direct violation of God’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves. The hardness of heart, lack of remorse, and outright deception displayed by those responsible are symptoms of a spiritual darkness that must be confronted in the name of Jesus.

The Bible is clear about how we are to treat one another: "You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh." (Leviticus 19:18 WEB) Yet these individuals have not only failed to show basic human decency but have actively sought to cover up their negligence, even at the risk of your life. Their actions reveal a heart that is calloused and resistant to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We must pray fervently for their repentance, for as Scripture warns, "A man who hardens his neck after much reproof will suddenly be destroyed without remedy." (Proverbs 29:1 WEB)

We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use unscrupulous people to carry out his schemes. But we serve a God who is just and who will not be mocked. "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." (Galatians 6:7 WEB) We declare that these individuals will reap what they have sown unless they turn from their wickedness.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Your throne of grace. We thank You that You see all things and that nothing is hidden from Your sight. Lord, we ask that You would break the hardness of heart in those who have caused harm. Soften their hearts, O God, and let them feel the weight of their sin. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit so that they may repent and make restitution for the wrongs they have committed.

We pray against the spirit of deception and greed that has blinded them to justice and compassion. Expose every lie, every cover-up, and every attempt to silence the truth. Let Your light shine into the darkness of this situation, and let Your justice prevail. Father, we ask that You would protect and vindicate this dear one who has suffered so much. Provide for their needs, open doors for safe and stable housing, and grant them peace in the midst of this storm.

Lord, we also pray for the lawyer and all those involved in this injustice. May they encounter Your love in a way that breaks through their resistance. May they hear Your voice calling them to repentance and restoration. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). Bring swift and righteous judgment upon those who have acted wickedly, not out of a desire for revenge, but so that Your justice may be upheld.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Righteous Judge, who will one day make all things right. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and legal recourse, trusting that the Lord can use even earthly systems to bring about His justice. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your defender, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We’re sitting with you in this, and we’re so sorry for what you’ve endured. No one should be treated this way, brushed aside, threatened, and denied basic safety. God’s heart is not distant from the wrongs done to you; He sees every detail, and He stands against those who harden their hearts and refuse to care for others. We ache with you that there’s been no apology, no change, only more excuses.

It’s right to ask God to soften these hearts, not to force them, but to draw them to genuine remorse and the courage to make things right. We pray He breaks through the layers of self-protection and fear that so often keep people from owning their mistakes. At the same time, we want you to know that while you wait and pray, you don’t have to carry the weight of seeking justice alone. It might help to reach out to a local pastor or a trusted Christian friend who can walk with you, help you sort through next steps, and even connect you with a legal aid service or advocate. God often uses His people to bring practical relief and a steady presence while He works.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, you know the fear, the physical pain, and the deep weariness this has caused. Bring healing to every wound, body, mind, and spirit. Provide a safe and stable home, and open a way for the compensation and respect that are long overdue. For those who have acted callously, soften what is hard; give them a heart of flesh that feels the weight of what they’ve done, and lead them to repentance and restitution. In the meantime, hold this dear one close, give them peace that isn’t dependent on the outcome, and remind them that their dignity rests in you. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

There is no sadder proof of our fallen estate than a heart that can look upon the wounds of another and feel nothing. When men demand comfort for themselves but deny safety to their neighbor, when they see the very marks of suffering upon the flesh and yet command a lie to be written, they reveal the stony heart in all its native deadness. Scripture calls it an adamant stone, unfeeling, unyielding, impenetrable. What you have described, the lawyer equating life-threatening danger with mere comfort, is not merely a legal posture; it is a window into a soul that has grown callous, little by little, until the heart has become leather, having no pity for anybody. It leads to something worse than death. We mourn over such a spectacle, for a heart of flesh is not to be found in any unregenerate man.

Yet the very woe of this condition points us to the sole remedy. Behold a wonder of divine love. The covenant promise speaks exactly to this desperate case: “I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” This is a gift of sovereign grace, always the result of divine power. No human eloquence, no threat of law, no demand for apology can create tenderness where it is wholly absent. The heart is the seat of the blindness; there lies the darkness which beclouds the whole mind. To the heart the light must come, and to the heart that light is promised. Our prayers must therefore ascend beyond a mere outward apology or compensation, though justice calls for these things. We must plead for the very miracle of regeneration, that God would make these hearts living, warm, sensitive, and tender. Pray that the Lord will take away the residuum of revenge, the obstinate refusal to own fault, and fill the empty space with the most gentle and sensitive affections.

Let your own spirit be guarded, lest the continued trial breed a hard place in your own soul. A prolonged injustice can tempt us toward a divided heart, where we are pursuing righteousness but also harboring a bitter seed. A divided heart is a terribly loathsome disease. David’s prayer must be yours too: “Unite my heart to fear thy name.” Keep your gaze fixed not ultimately on the landlord or the lawyer, but on the sacred heart of our loving Lord. He is meek and lowly in heart. A bleeding Savior makes men’s hearts bleed. When He is pierced, they also are pierced. Nothing has power to dissolve the adamant stone like the discovery of God’s boundless love in giving His well-beloved Son to die for us. Pray therefore, not only for their conviction, but that the love of God might be shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit, until sin becomes to them as smoke to the eyes and as thorns to the flesh.

Go and inquire of Him concerning this. Take the very words of the promise and press them back to the Throne: “Lord, Thou hast said, ‘I will give them a heart to know Me.’ Grant it now. For this Thou must be inquired of. Break the hard heart. Give the heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.” In the end, justice and recompense will flow as a natural stream from a heart that has been made to admire the character of God. Until then, we trust Him who puts his hand a second time to the work and makes a vessel of honor fit for His use.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How great a tragedy it is to see souls so hardened that they not only refuse to acknowledge their wrongdoing but compound it with threats and lies. When a person demands a false report to cover up a life-threatening danger, they reveal a heart that has become callous against both God and neighbor. This is the same spirit that provoked the Lord in the wilderness, of whom it was said, "They could not enter in because of unbelief." Such unbelief is not merely intellectual; it is a rebellion that sears the conscience and shuts out the voice of the Spirit.

Yet do not despair over them, as if repentance were impossible. The medicine of repentance retains its power even for those who have sunk to great depths. But you must understand what true repentance requires: not a few tears wrung from self-pity, like Esau who sought the blessing with weeping but found no place for a change of heart, because his grief did not produce amendment of life. True repentance is a gift from above, and it comes when the word of God pierces the soul. A word from Scripture, made to sound in the ear, does more than fire to soften hardened hearts and renders them fit for every good work.

Continue to pray earnestly for these people, that the same grace which turned the persecutor Paul from raging madness to sober devotion might visit them. Pray that they hear His call, that their hearts of stone become hearts of flesh, and that they submit to Him. But while you pray, guard your own soul. Do not let their wickedness make you bitter or cause you to stumble. Stretch out your heart to them, even as they wrong you, for that is the way of the disciple. And remember this: the Lord sees every hidden thing, and His judgment is just. The comfort and safety you lacked, He will supply in due time. Meanwhile, let your own conduct be full of meekness and almsgiving, for alms quench the fire of sin and open the door to great mercy. In this way, even as you suffer, you become a living witness to the grace that can transform the hardest heart.
