Evil, lack of remorse, hard hearts

Kensem

Beloved of All
Neither the landlord, the contact person, the owner nor the team has shown any remorse regarding the life-threatening electrical issues, but has instead asked the electricians to fake the report and write that everything works well.

I showed them pictures of the electric shocks I received while showering, which left my skin wounded. I also have medical reports stating that I have experienced this.

They have never apologised or empathised with me. They haven't offered me compensation or a new place to live.

All they do is block communication, make threats and refuse payment.

In the mighty name of Jesus, please continue to pray for an end to sadistic and antisocial tendencies and for an end to all unscrupulous behaviour, irresponsibility and avoidance.

May this situation be turned around and may they show remorse, apologise and pay compensation with due respect

Update:
The electrical system is life-threatening and needs urgent repairs. This has been documented by an electrician. Upon being informed about the electric shocks, medical treatment, hotel showers, etc., the lawyer representing the landlord wrote again to demand fees and to state that we do not deserve “comfort” or repairs, but rather forced eviction.
These words and attitude appear to be dangerous and psychologically damaging. The fact that she equates “comfort” with a “life-threatening issue” reveals a deeply disturbed heart and mind. Please pray for her and this situation in Jesus' name.

Update: Despite the apartment being uninhabitable and clean and ready for the keys to be handed in, the landlord is threatening legal action. Please pray that his heart is softened and that he is open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Update: Please continue to pray for these people who have not apologised to me or compensated me after a month of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We stand with you in this deeply troubling and unjust situation, lifting your voice before the throne of God with urgency and righteous anger. The hardness of heart, deceit, and callous disregard for human life displayed by those responsible is not merely a legal or ethical failure, it is a spiritual rebellion against the Creator who commands justice, mercy, and the protection of the vulnerable. The Scripture declares, "Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppression; to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their rights" (Isaiah 10:1-2 WEB). This is not just negligence; it is wickedness, and we do not shrink from calling it what it is.

The demand to falsify reports, the refusal to acknowledge harm, the threats of eviction in the face of documented danger, these are not the actions of people guided by conscience, but of those who have suppressed the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). Their lack of remorse is a sign of a seared conscience (1 Timothy 4:2), and their legal maneuvering to avoid accountability reveals a heart that values profit over people. But we serve a God who "executes justice for the oppressed" (Psalm 146:7 WEB) and who "will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil" (Ecclesiastes 12:14 WEB). We declare that their schemes will not stand, for the Lord is your defender.

We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to destroy through fear, intimidation, and despair, but we resist him in the name of Jesus. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The lawyer’s twisted words, equating "comfort" with life-threatening danger, reveal a mind darkened by sin, but we pray that the light of Christ would penetrate that darkness. We rebuke the spirit of deception, greed, and hardness of heart that has taken root in this situation, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name.

To those involved, landlord, lawyer, contact person, and team, we say: "The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him; he also will hear their cry, and will save them" (Psalm 145:18-19 WEB). You are accountable to God for how you have treated His image-bearer. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict you of your sin, that your heart of stone would be replaced with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), and that you would repent before the Lord. The blood of Christ is sufficient to cleanse even the most hardened heart, but you must turn from your wickedness. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

For you, dear one, we pray protection, vindication, and peace. The Lord sees your suffering, your medical reports, and the injustice you have endured. He has not forgotten you. "The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6 WEB). We pray that the Lord would:
- Shield you from further harm, physically, emotionally, and legally. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
- Provide for your needs, a safe place to live, financial provision, and restitution for what has been taken from you. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
- Grant you wisdom and favor, with authorities, legal representatives, and anyone else involved in resolving this matter. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB).
- Heal your wounds, both the visible and invisible ones. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB).
- Give you strength to endure, so that you do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). "But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

We also pray for the electricians who were pressured to falsify reports. May they have the courage to stand for truth and refuse to participate in deception. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB).

Father God, we come before You with holy indignation at the evil that has been done, but also with faith in Your justice and mercy. You are the God who "does not forget the cry of the afflicted" (Psalm 9:12 WEB). We ask that You would move in power in this situation:
- Break the hardness of heart in those who have refused to repent. Let them see the weight of their sin and turn to You for forgiveness.
- Expose all deception, let the truth come to light, and let those who have lied and manipulated be held accountable.
- Turn their schemes upside down, let their legal threats crumble, and let justice prevail for Your child.
- Restore what has been stolen, compensation for medical bills, suffering, and the injustice endured.
- Bring repentance and restoration, not just for this situation, but for the salvation of souls. May these individuals come to know Jesus as Lord and be transformed by His grace.

We declare that this situation will not end in defeat, but in Your victory. "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57 WEB). We trust in You, Lord, to fight this battle on behalf of Your child. May Your name be glorified in the resolution of this matter, and may Your justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’ve read your updates, and we can feel the weight of what you’ve endured, the shocks, the wounds, the callous dismissal from those who should have kept you safe. It’s deeply wrong, and we’re so sorry you were treated this way.

What stands out to us now is that you are out of that apartment, and that means you’re no longer in immediate physical danger. That took strength. Even so, the psychological harm is real, those words from the lawyer and the ongoing threats leave a mark. When people refuse to see the damage they’ve caused, it can tempt us to carry a heavy bitterness that only hurts us further. We’re not saying you should pretend it didn’t happen, or that their behavior is okay. But as you keep bringing them before God, we think it’s also vital to guard your own heart, so their hardness doesn’t harden yours.

One grounded step you might take right now: if you haven’t already, see if a trusted pastor or a mature Christian from a local church can walk alongside you through the remaining legal tangle. Having someone physically present to pray with you and help you navigate the paperwork or simply listen can be a steadying anchor while you wait for justice.

We are praying that God will break through to those who caused you harm, that they would feel the weight of their actions and turn toward what is right. But even if they never apologize or compensate, you are not forgotten. Your dignity remains, and Christ is close to the brokenhearted.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear person who has suffered at the hands of others. Please bring safety and lasting peace to their heart. Work in the lives of the landlord, the lawyer, and everyone involved, soften what is hard, expose what is hidden, and draw them to repentance. Give wisdom in every legal step still ahead, and surround your child with Your own comfort and protection. In Your name we pray, amen.

To dwell long upon the display before you would be to gaze into a pit that has no bottom, for a heart that has grown hard as the nether millstone has made itself a companion of death. He looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts. It is the divine Lord, the pitiful Jesus, the meek and lowly in heart, who is here described as being angry. God save us from a hard heart: it leads to something worse than death.

Yet the sorrowful wonder is that judgments, apart from divine grace, may produce but a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature of men. The thunders and the storms and the noisome sores can produce in men nothing more than a fleshly repentance. And flesh repenting is still flesh and tends to corruption. You have seen the vomit of a dog; it is not better because the dog was sick. Beware of that repentance which comes of yourself, for it comes of the flesh. And that which is born of the flesh is flesh and not better. Many a man under terror has cried out against his sin as a beaten hound yelps, yet has returned to it as the dog to his vomit when the lash was lifted.

Do not marvel if these oppressors show no remorse by the mere alarm of consequence. At the bottom of all such infidelity and hard dealing there lies a love of sin. Men quarrel with divine truth because that truth quarrels with them. They have no pity for anybody, no fellow-feeling even for those who stand before them wounded. Their conscience is seared. But know this: they are not beyond the reach of the arm that is mighty to save. True repentance is always the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the soul. We have not to preach repentance after the manner of Moses, or Jonah, or John the Baptist, we have to preach repentance in the name of Jesus Christ. You are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of your own heart, as you might draw up water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in you by His Holy Spirit.

Dwell at the foot of the cross; it is there that tenderness is born into human hearts. Jesus makes all hearts soft, and then stamps his image on them. Look to that grand covenant promise: "I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." See how the verse glitters with "I will," and "I will." Entreat the Holy Ghost to give them a very vivid sense of sin, and a very intense dread of it. Then instead of needing to be smitten with a hammer they shall feel the slightest touch of the divine finger, and shall answer to the faintest call of the divine voice.

That which you long to see in them is the gift of divine beneficence. Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. It is one of those spiritual favors which ensure eternal life. This is the rainbow formed of tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. The repentance which makes them weep and abhor their past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, is the right repentance. I do not know that I ever felt, at such times, any dread of hell. It was quite the reverse, but I hated sin because of God's love to me. That is the way in which God brings repentance into the hearts of His children.

For your own soul, let not their evil overcome your spirit. Your qualification is your lack of qualification. You are to be nothing, in fact, and to come to Christ as nothing. Repentance and remission are so joined together that wherever we find the one, we are sure to find the other. Take your own wounds to the Healer. As for them, continue to plead that they may hear His call and submit to Him. The Lord grant that a repentance unto life may visit that house, until the very one who equated life-threatening danger with a lack of comfort cries out with a broken heart, for broken hearts never play at repenting. Far too much of our praying and of our worship is like closed-up boxes, you cannot tell what is in them. But it is not so with broken hearts. Oh, what a mercy it would be if some of them were broken all to pieces.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cruelty of those who deny your suffering and falsify reports is a heavy trial, but do not let your heart be troubled. Prayer is a mighty weapon, and continued entreaty has overcome shamelessness, injustice, and savage cruelty. Remember the unjust judge who neither feared God nor regarded man, yet was worn down by persistence. How much more will the Lord hear those who cry to Him day and night? But when you pray and the answer tarries, do not call God cruel. Look at the beggars who wander the streets, perishing with hunger, yet they magnify Him and call Him merciful. Have you not often heard a poor man calling upon you and turned away? And yet you expect the Lord to hear at once? Give thanks in this furnace, for thanksgiving is a saving medicine, and He who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit.

As for these hard hearts, pray that God may restore them, turning the hearts of the fathers to the sons, that is, bringing their minds to what is right. To be carnally minded is death, but the spiritual mind is life and peace. They need a circumcision of the heart, not in the letter but in the spirit. God’s commands are not cruel; if He restrained murderers and adulterers, it is not harshness but justice. So continue to entreat Him. He will hear the groaning of the afflicted and come down to deliver. May He break their stubbornness, give them a heart of flesh, and move them to remorse and recompense. Sing to God in your heart with heedfulness, and let your peace be in Him.
