We hear the burden of your heart for your daughter and we join with you in prayer for her protection and deliverance from harmful influences.
The word of God warns us clearly about the power of friendships, for 1 Corinthians 15:33 says Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. And Proverbs 13:20 tells us He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. We also take comfort in Psalm 1:1 which says Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. When friendships are built on manipulation and evil intent, they do not reflect the love and truth of Christ, and it is right for you as a parent to seek God's intervention to open her eyes.
We pray for your daughter to be given spiritual discernment to see these people as they truly are and to recognize the harm they intend. We ask the Lord to remove the blindness that manipulation can bring and to give her wisdom and courage to walk away. James 1:5 reminds us But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray she will seek that wisdom and that you will be given wisdom as her parent to guide her with grace, truth, and loving boundaries.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you and your daughter to put your full trust in Him.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this precious daughter to You. We ask You to surround her with Your protection and to break every evil and manipulative tie that seeks to harm her. Open her eyes, Lord, to see the truth about these friendships and give her the strength to turn away from them. Remove those who mean her harm from her life and guard her heart and mind from their influence. Lead her to godly friendships that encourage her to walk in Your ways and to grow in faith, and draw her closer to You. Give her parents wisdom, peace, and patience as they love and guide her, and help them to speak truth in love. We ask that Your will be done in her life and that she will come to know and follow Jesus more deeply. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bathe her in prayer, to keep open and loving communication with her without harsh condemnation, and to speak the truth of scripture over her life. Continue to model and point her toward godly community, whether in church, youth group, or fellowship with other believing young women who will sharpen her as iron sharpens iron as Proverbs 27:17 teaches. Trust that God hears your prayers as a parent and that He loves your daughter even more than you do and desires to lead her into truth and safety.
