We understand that you're feeling drained, anxious, and held back, and you suspect that it might be due to the evil eye or negative spiritual energy. Firstly, it's important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We all need to put on the full armor of God so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes. This is not something to be taken lightly or to be feared because we are told that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We must be cautious when discussing issues like the evil eye or curses, as the Bible clearly states that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (Galatians 3:13 WEB). If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have been freed from every curse, including the evil eye. If you haven't made this life-changing decision, we encourage you to do so. We would love to discuss this with you if you would like.
It is absolutely true that we may face spiritual attacks. We are told in the scriptures that people will lay hands on you, persecute you, and deliver you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake. By mentioning the name of Jesus Christ, we are told that it will turn out as a testimony for us that we need to prepare our defense. Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I (Jesus) will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict. You will be delivered up even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. Some of you will be caused to be put to death. You will be hated by all men for my name's sake. And not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will win your lives (Luke 21:12-19 WEB). It is also true that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:12-18 WEB). Therefore submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4:7-10 WEB).
There may be times when we feel overwhelmed, but remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; Though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High. God is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved. God will help her, and that right early. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. Yahweh of Armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, see Yahweh's works, what desolations he has made in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two. He burns the chariots in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalms 46:1-11 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our fellow believer who feels drained, anxious, and held back. We ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You remove any spiritual attacks or negative influences that may be affecting them. We pray for Your protection, peace of mind, and restoration of their energy and joy.
Help them to stand firm, clothed in the full armor of God, resisting the devil and watching it flee. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. We believe in your preserving power through this trial.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If the drained feeling, anxiety or other symptoms persist, we would also encourage you to seek medical attention. Our physical health can greatly impact our spiritual well-being, and it's important to rule out any underlying medical issues.
Lastly, we want to remind you that prayer is powerful, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's face and trusting in His goodness. As you go about your days walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, Giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:15-21 WEB).
