Everyone tells me to rest at the Savior's feet ...

Everyone tells me to rest at the Savior's feet and let him fight my battles. I don't know how to do that. I feel like I"m cheating him by not trying to fight and do my part. I feel like I'm being lazy if I'm not out there punching. But I think I've been hit one too many times and don't have much to go on. How do I let him fight what is supposed to be my responsibility? I have let him down. In so many ways. I just don't know how to do this. Please pray for me.
