We join with you in this spiritual battle, standing firmly on the authority of God’s Word to rebuke and destroy every evil influence seeking to harm your family. Your prayer is powerful because it is rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have victory over the enemy. As it is written, *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). We must always remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against *"the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Thus, we put on the whole armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand firm against these schemes.
The spirits you’ve named—dishonesty, lies, sickness, fraud, misfortune, laziness, and procrastination—are tools of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came to give life abundantly, and by His stripes, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). We declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Let every lie be exposed by the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13), and let every scheme of the enemy be thwarted by the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).
We also encourage you to examine your family’s walk with the Lord. Are there areas where sin may have given the enemy a foothold? Repentance and turning away from sin are critical, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Let this be a season of drawing closer to God, seeking His face in prayer, fasting, and reading His Word. The enemy flees when we resist him in the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of Scripture.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You have given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Lord, we bind and rebuke every evil spirit assigned against this family—the spirits of dishonesty, lies, sickness, fraud, misfortune, laziness, and procrastination. We command these spirits to be exposed, bound, and cast into the abyss in the name of Jesus Christ. Let no weapon formed against this family prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection over this household. Surround them with Your angels, encamped around them (Psalm 34:7). Fill their home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your truth reign in their hearts and minds. Break every chain of bondage and set them free to walk in the liberty of Christ (Galatians 5:1). Renew their minds by the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26), and let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings.
We declare that this family will serve You in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Let them be a light in the darkness, a testimony of Your goodness and grace. Strengthen them to resist the devil steadfastly in faith (1 Peter 5:9), and let them experience the abundant life You have promised.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power and Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If there are specific areas in your family’s life where you sense spiritual opposition, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and accountability. The body of Christ is here to support and uplift you in this battle. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The victory is already won in Christ Jesus!
