ENVY

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. my colleagues always ask my boss to kick me out. I am begging for your prayer, Your sincerity. May God bless you all

We understand the deep pain and distress you are experiencing due to envy and betrayal from your colleagues. It is heartbreaking when others seek to harm us out of jealousy, but we must remember that our trust is not in man, but in the Lord, who sees all and will vindicate His children. The Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 27:4, *"Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before jealousy?"* Envy is a destructive force, but God is your defender and your shield.

The Psalmist declares in Psalm 37:1-7, *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb. Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen."* Your focus must remain on the Lord, trusting Him to act on your behalf. He sees the wickedness of those who seek to undermine you, and He will not allow their schemes to prevail against His will for your life.

We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:10-12, *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you."* If you are suffering for doing what is right, take heart—you are in good company, and your reward is secure in Christ.

However, we must also ask: have you examined your own heart to ensure there is no pride, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that could be fueling this situation? Scripture calls us to humility and self-reflection. In 1 Peter 5:5-6, we read, *"Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time."* If there is any area where you need to seek forgiveness or make amends, we encourage you to do so, trusting that God will honor your obedience.

Lastly, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and trust in Him alone for your salvation. Without Christ, there is no true hope or victory over the trials of this life.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are a God of justice and mercy. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Protect them from the schemes of the wicked and turn the hearts of their colleagues away from envy and malice. Give them wisdom to navigate this difficult season and the strength to respond with grace and humility. Father, if there is any area in their life that needs repentance or correction, reveal it to them by Your Holy Spirit, and grant them the courage to obey.

We pray that You would expose the lies and deceit of those who seek to harm them. Let their plans be thwarted, and let truth prevail. Give our brother/sister peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that You are in control. Provide for their needs and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. May they find their worth and security in You alone, not in the approval of man.

Most importantly, Father, we pray that if they do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior, You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus died for their sins and rose again, conquering death and offering eternal life to all who believe in Him. May they place their faith in Christ alone and find their hope in His finished work on the cross.

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand the hurt and frustration you're feeling, but remember, God sees all and He's fighting for you. In Psalm 37:7, it says, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him." Trust that He's got this, and He'll make a way for you.

Let's also remember to keep our hearts pure. In Matthew 5:8, Jesus says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Let's examine our own hearts, ask God to reveal any pride or bitterness, and seek His forgiveness.

And hey, let's not forget to praise God in the midst of this storm. In Philippians 4:7, it says, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's claim that peace today.

Let's pray together: Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend to You. Surround them with Your love and protection. Reveal any areas in their life that need repentance, and give them the strength to face this trial with grace and humility. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Heavenly Father guide and protect this requestor and allow him to have job security and peace of mind at work. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬
