Entrusting my ###❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, trusting in Your perfect wisdom, timing, and love. Thank You for bringing ### into my life. You know every detail of our hearts, our thoughts, and our future better than we ever could.

Lord, I lift up my boyfriend and chatmate in ### and with ADHD to You. Please touch his heart with Your love, peace, and truth and heal him. If it is Your will, give him courage to move forward in getting to know me more deeply and honestly. Order his steps according to Your perfect plan. If it is good and pleasing in Your sight, open the way for us to have a meaningful phone call or video call, and help us communicate with sincerity, openness, and respect.

Father, if this relationship is part of Your purpose for our lives, help him become intentional and serious about our communication and our relationship. Guide both of us to seek You first, to honor You in our words and actions, and to build a relationship founded on faith, honesty, trust, and genuine love.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my own desires to You. As Your Word teaches, I pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done." If this relationship is Your will, strengthen it. If You have a different path, give me the grace to trust You completely, knowing that Your plans are always good.

Fill ###'s heart and mind with the love that comes from You. If it is Your will for us to share a future together, grow in him a sincere, faithful, and unconditional love—one that reflects Your patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steadfast commitment. Likewise, shape my heart so that I may love him in a Christlike way, free from fear, selfishness, or impatience.

Protect us from misunderstanding, doubt, fear, and anything that would draw us away from You. Help us to encourage one another in faith and to walk in integrity and truth.

I place this relationship into Your loving hands. I trust You to open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and lead us according to Your perfect will. Whatever the outcome, help me rest in the assurance that Your love never fails and that Your plans for me are always for my good and for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and your desire to surrender this relationship to the Lord, and we join you in seeking His will with humility and faith. Your prayer reflects a beautiful posture of trust in God’s sovereignty, and we affirm your commitment to honor Him in this season of waiting and discernment. However, we must gently address a few areas where Scripture calls us to deeper alignment with God’s design for relationships.

First, we notice your use of the term "boyfriend," which, while common in modern culture, does not fully reflect the biblical model of courtship with the intent of marriage. Scripture calls believers to pursue relationships with the goal of holy matrimony, not merely companionship or emotional fulfillment. "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this man is not a committed follower of Christ, we must prayerfully consider whether this relationship can truly honor God. If he is a believer, we encourage you to view this season as one of intentional courtship, where both of you seek the Lord’s guidance for a future marriage that reflects His love and covenant.

We also lift up the matter of communication and emotional intimacy. While your desire for deeper connection is understandable, we must guard our hearts against forming soul ties outside of marriage. "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we must ask the Lord to help you set boundaries that protect both of your hearts from unnecessary attachment or temptation. If it is moving toward marriage, we pray for wisdom in how you communicate, ensuring that your words and actions reflect Christ’s love and purity.

Your prayer for healing and patience regarding his ADHD is beautiful, and we join you in asking the Lord to grant him peace, clarity, and self-control. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). May the Lord also give you grace to extend patience and understanding, while trusting Him to work in both of your lives.

We must also address the reality of sexual temptation, even in relationships that begin with pure intentions. Scripture is clear: "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity" (Ephesians 5:3). If this relationship is to honor God, we must pray for the strength to flee from any form of physical or emotional intimacy that would lead to sin. This includes guarding your conversations, avoiding late-night or overly personal discussions that could stir up lust, and committing to purity in both thought and deed.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of reverence, lifting up this sister and her desire for a godly relationship. Lord, we thank You for her willingness to surrender her own will and trust in Yours. We ask that You would reveal Your perfect plan for her life, whether that includes this man or another path You have prepared. If this relationship is not of You, give her the grace to release it with peace, knowing that Your plans are always for her good.

Father, we pray for this man, that You would draw him closer to Yourself. Heal his heart, mind, and spirit, and grant him the strength to overcome the challenges of ADHD with Your power. If it is Your will for them to move forward together, we ask that You would guide their steps toward marriage, rooted in faith, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to honor You. Help them to communicate with honesty, integrity, and purity, always seeking to build one another up in the Lord.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over their hearts. Guard them from temptation, doubt, and any influence that would draw them away from You. May their relationship be a reflection of Your love, patient, kind, selfless, and holy. If this is not Your will, give them both the courage to walk away, trusting in Your provision and perfect timing.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who gives us access to the Father and the only Name by which we are saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified above all else. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season, not only for the outcome of this relationship but for your own growth in Christ. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). As you draw near to Him, He will shape your desires to align with His will. Trust in His timing, lean on His strength, and remember that His plans for you are good. If this relationship is not part of His design, He has something even better in store. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you every step of the way.

We’ve read your prayer with real gratitude, your honest surrender, “not my will, but Yours be done,” already shows the kind of trust that pleases God’s heart. There’s something deeply steadying when we lay a relationship on the altar like that. It’s not a giving up; it’s a giving over, and you’ve done that beautifully.

We know the waiting can feel heavy, especially when ### can make communication and consistency feel unpredictable. We’re praying with you for his healing, that the God who knit him together will calm his mind and give him courage to move toward you with honesty and purpose. But we also want to encourage you to keep your eyes on the one part of this story you can fully direct: your own heart. Sometimes God uses a season like this to deepen our roots in Him, so that whether the relationship grows or takes a different turn, you’re already anchored in His love.

A practical step that often brings clarity is to quietly ask yourself, “Is this relationship, as it actually is, drawing me closer to Christ?” Share that honest answer with a wise, older Christian friend or mentor who knows you. Outside eyes can help us see what hope or fear might cloud.

And now we pray with you, Father, thank You for holding this daughter and her whole desire in Your safe hands. Please touch her boyfriend, bringing healing to his mind and heart, and steady his intentions. But more than that, let Your will be done, and give her an unshakable peace that rests not on the outcome but on Your unchanging goodness. Guard her from fear and confusion, and fill her with the quiet confidence that You are the Author of every good path. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The posture of your heart in this prayer is one that I delight to see: a soul bowing before the throne, acknowledging that the Lord's will is better than your own. This is the very essence of true submission, "Not my will, but Yours be done." You speak of entrusting this man to God, and that is well, for the Great Physician alone can heal the wounds of the mind and spirit. But let me press you further: have you made an unconditional surrender of this whole matter? Have you flung wide the gates of your heart's desire and admitted King Jesus to rule as absolute Sovereign over your affections? It is not enough to say, "If it is Your will, strengthen it"; you must also be willing that He scatter all your hopes to the wind if that be His good pleasure. That is the surrender at discretion I have often spoken of, yielding yourself to His method of operating upon you, even if it means disappointment, silence, or a closed door.

Remember, the love of Christ for His church moved Him to lay aside all glory. Can you not then trust Him with a matter so small as a human relationship? Eat the sacrifice of thanksgiving by faith, and leave the outcome to Him. Seek His face, and be more concerned with your own sanctification than with the progress of this courtship. If this man is to be your husband, the Lord will make the path straight; but if not, He has something better than you could ever imagine. Guard your heart from idolatrous anxiety, and rest in the assurance that your Father's plans are always good. Kiss the Son, and go in peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Let us first root out the thorns from this ground before we scatter the good seed. You speak much of surrendering your desire, yet you have already filled your prayer with a vision of what that should be: a call, a deepening, an intentional man shaped into a Christlike lover. This is the opposite of surrender; this is dictating terms to the Physician while feigning to trust His knife.

Consider this question: were you ever overtaken by a passion, and then did you prevail over it? The change came not by wishing upon the wind, but by the mind, and the choice of will, when you restrained yourself and strove. Why then do you pray for God to change another's will as if He were a puppet-master, compelling a man to be courageous and intentional? This is the error of those who seek friendship from community of interest or long acquaintance rather than from godliness. You have made a friend based on your own desire and now ask God to bless what was built on that foundation. The friendships of the church must be formed upon godliness only. Is this man united to you in a common striving for holiness, or are you yoked to a worldly attraction while painting it with the colors of faith?

You ask for healing for him and for communication. Your own words betray the sickness. You speak of a "chatmate" and a "boyfriend" in a distant land, with whom you seek a "meaningful" call. Here is the true healing required: to discipline the tongue and the heart in silence, and to stop mistaking emotional entanglement for edification. If you speak with him, let it not be to stoke the coals of a disorderly affection by making a display of your longing or getting him to perform a role you have written. A brother has his struggles; do not revel in the hope of emotional gain from him, but teach him to seek contrition and piety. All else inflames and overturns.

If you truly trust His perfect wisdom, then stop reasoning like an unbeliever who says, "He is perished and shall no more be," should this connection fade. If this relationship is not, it is not a calamity; he is gone a journey, and your peace must remain. Are you weak and easily overcome by the devil precisely because you seek the opposite of the shield of godly love, fortifying yourself instead with this phantom of a future you have designed? Do the works of virtue: become mild, forbearing, and patient. Become fit to wound the passions, and you will see clearly that love is not a feeling to be coaxed out of a man through a phone call, but a steadfast commitment to the will of God. Stop offering this relationship as a sacrifice to Him, constantly asking Him to accept a thing that has no suitableness to His times for you. He does not desire the sacrifice of your worry; He desires the abolition of your fixation, that your heart may receive the divine seed with full virtue.

You have poured out a plea that is deeply honest, and the cry of your heart is clear. You long for clarity, for movement, for a relationship to be shaped and directed by God’s own hand. That is a good and right desire. But I want to speak to the struggle I hear beneath the prayer, the place where your soul is waiting and watching and wondering if God is going to act the way you hope He will.

It is often true that we seek God most earnestly when we have run out of our own resources. As long as we can manage a situation with our own scheming, our own timing, or our own attempts to nudge someone’s heart, we tend to hold the reins tightly. You are asking God to make him intentional, to open a door for a call, to shape his love into something faithful and unconditional. Those are things only God can do in a human soul. You cannot manufacture them. And that very awareness, that you have come to the end of your own ability to control this, is a gift. It places you at the place of wrestling.

There is a kind of surrender that only comes when our hip is out of joint, so to speak. When we have wrestled with our own will all night long and finally realize we are not going to win by forcing the outcome. The Lord sometimes allows a crippling of our own self-reliance so that He might crown us with something better: a total dependence on Him. You have prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” That prayer is easy to say when we assume God’s will matches our own. It becomes a sacrifice of praise when we say it with open hands, genuinely yielding the timeline and the outcome to a Father who may choose a path we cannot yet see.

The peace you seek will not be found in securing a phone call or in hearing him express the words you long for. Those may be gifts God grants, but true peace comes from a complete, abandoned commitment of the matter into God’s keeping. When you have stopped striving to see your own will accomplished, the mental turmoil subsides. Perfect peace does not guard the heart that gets every desire met; it guards the heart whose mind is stayed on the Lord Himself. The shift happens when you move from asking God to bless what you have decided must happen, to resting in the confidence that He is working, even when you cannot perceive a single sign of it. Waiting on God takes great faith specifically because we cannot see what He is doing.

Many troubles are born when we step in to “help God out” with an Abraham-like shortcut. The pressure to make something happen, to break the silence, to force a conversation, can feel overwhelming. That is the moment to go back to the Word of God and let your soul rest on His promises instead of your own strategies. You can pray on the basis of what God has said. You can say, “Lord, You have said You will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. You have said You will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly.” That kind of prayer changes your focus from the man across the screen or the distance, and fixes it on the God who is near.

What agreement does the temple of God have with idols? Your own life is that temple, and an idol can be anything we hold onto as the source of our security, including a desired relationship. God loves you too much to let you find your ultimate identity in whether this man moves forward. He will direct your heart into His own love first, and then into a patient waiting. Patient waiting is not passive resignation; it is an active trust that God is in control and that He is working out a purpose in the waiting itself. The silence you are experiencing right now is not a sign of God’s absence. It is often in the quiet and the delay that our faith is purified.

Do not let your eyes grow sore from watching for a specific outcome. Instead, keep your eyes on Jesus. As you approach God boldly on the basis of His grace alone rather than your own worth, you can always receive the help you need. That help may come as an open door, or it may come as a closed one that you later see was a protection. Whatever the outcome, your safety is in belonging to Him, not in the success or failure of a courtship. Rest now from the work of trying to arrange things. Believe that the God who loves you is able to do what you cannot do for yourself. Rest there. He will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him.
