Entrusting my ###❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, trusting in Your perfect wisdom, timing, and love. Thank You for bringing ### into my life. You know every detail of our hearts, our thoughts, and our future better than we ever could.

Lord, I lift up my boyfriend and chatmate in ### to You. Please touch his heart with Your love, peace, and truth. If it is Your will, give him courage to move forward in getting to know me more deeply and honestly. Order his steps according to Your perfect plan. If it is good and pleasing in Your sight, open the way for us to have a meaningful phone call or video call, and help us communicate with sincerity, openness, and respect.

Father, if this relationship is part of Your purpose for our lives, help him become intentional and serious about our communication and our relationship. Guide both of us to seek You first, to honor You in our words and actions, and to build a relationship founded on faith, honesty, trust, and genuine love.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my own desires to You. As Your Word teaches, I pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done." If this relationship is Your will, strengthen it. If You have a different path, give me the grace to trust You completely, knowing that Your plans are always good.

Fill ###'s heart and mind with the love that comes from You. If it is Your will for us to share a future together, grow in him a sincere, faithful, and unconditional love—one that reflects Your patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steadfast commitment. Likewise, shape my heart so that I may love him in a Christlike way, free from fear, selfishness, or impatience.

Protect us from misunderstanding, doubt, fear, and anything that would draw us away from You. Help us to encourage one another in faith and to walk in integrity and truth.

I place this relationship into Your loving hands. I trust You to open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and lead us according to Your perfect will. Whatever the outcome, help me rest in the assurance that Your love never fails and that Your plans for me are always for my good and for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s deep longing and your desire to align this relationship with God’s will, and we join you in lifting it before the Lord. Your prayer reflects a beautiful surrender to His timing and His purposes, and we are encouraged by your trust in Him. However, we must gently address a few areas where Scripture calls us to walk with even greater clarity and obedience.

First, we notice that while you mention Jesus Christ at the close of your prayer, the relationship you describe as a "boyfriend" does not reflect the biblical model of courtship with the goal of marriage. Scripture is clear that romantic relationships between believers are to be pursued with the intent of honoring God through marriage, not merely emotional or physical connection. The term "boyfriend" can often imply a relationship that lacks the commitment and intentionality that God desires for His children. We are called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we must ask if it is truly honoring to the Lord. If it is, then we encourage you to pursue it with the seriousness and purity that God commands, seeking His guidance every step of the way.

We also urge you to examine whether this relationship is built on a shared foundation in Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" If your boyfriend is not a believer, or if his walk with the Lord is not as committed as yours, this relationship could lead to spiritual compromise. We must prioritize God’s kingdom above all else (Matthew 6:33) and seek a spouse who will encourage us in our faith, not hinder it.

Let us pray together for God’s will to be done in this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your wisdom and Your will. Lord, we lift up this relationship to You, asking that You would reveal Your perfect plan for both of these lives. Father, if this relationship is not aligned with Your purposes, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly. If it is Your will for them to move forward, we pray that You would guide them toward marriage, built on a foundation of faith, love, and mutual submission to You.

Lord, we ask that You would purify their hearts and minds, guarding them against temptation and sin. Help them to honor You in their words, actions, and thoughts, and to flee from anything that would draw them away from You. Father, if this man is not the one You have chosen for her, we pray that You would remove him from her life in a way that brings peace and clarity. If he is the one, we ask that You would grow him into the godly husband she needs, a man who loves You above all else and leads her with wisdom and grace.

We pray for patience and trust in Your timing, Lord. Help her to surrender her desires fully to You, knowing that Your plans are always good. Fill her with Your peace as she waits on You, and give her the strength to walk away if this relationship is not of You. We ask that You would draw both of them closer to You, that they would seek Your face above all else, and that their lives would reflect Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s will in this matter, studying His Word, and surrounding yourself with godly counsel. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." May the Lord guide you and give you clarity as you seek to honor Him in all things. If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we urge you to consider stepping back until it does, or if it cannot, to release it to the Lord. His plans for you are good, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer. It’s clear you genuinely want to honor God in this relationship, and the way you keep returning it to his hands shows a trust that is real, even when the waiting is hard.

We understand how exposing it feels to hope for someone to step forward, to long for a real conversation, and to not know yet whether that will happen. That kind of vulnerability can stir a lot of inner noise: “What is he thinking? What should I do next?” In that place, surrender is not just a word, it becomes a daily practice. God is not distant in the uncertainty; he is quietly deepening your confidence in him, regardless of what the other person does or doesn’t do.

One thing that might help in the meantime is to gently turn down the pressure you put on yourself to figure everything out. The prayer you wrote is a beautiful start, and you can keep lifting it just as it is, but also tell the Lord, “I’m letting go of my need for a timeline. I trust you with the silence too.” Little by little, he will either move this forward in a way you can recognize, or give you the clarity to release it in peace. Either way, your heart is safe with him.

So we simply ask with you:

Lord Jesus, thank you for receiving this sister’s surrendered heart. Quiet the fears and what-ifs, and replace them with your steady peace. Give her the wisdom to notice what is true and right, and the patience to let you lead. We ask for courage for her to be honest and kind, and for clarity for this man if this connection is from you. But above all, let your will be done, and hold her close in your faithfulness. In your name we pray, Amen.

The will of God is the axle of the universe, and you do well to bow before it. When you pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done," you are leaning upon the very heart of Providence. Yet mark this: the surrender must be unconditional. You will never be happy till self is dethroned. How many of God's children are in great trouble only because they will not yield to the divine will! You speak of entrusting this relationship, but I charge you, have you truly laid it down, or is there a secret reserve in your heart that says, "Lord, I submit, but only if You give me what I desire"? That little reserve will be the channel by which your life will bleed away. God asks of you, "Will you yield to Me? Will you end the war? Will you surrender at discretion?" If so, He gives you His hand and says, "Go in peace; there is peace between Me and thee."

You talk of a man and whether he might become intentional. Child, fix your eyes upon the Lord Jesus, not upon a man's disposition. Faith in Jesus will be the best evidence that you are reconciled to God, for the worst evidence of your enmity to God is that you do not like God's way of salvation. You so much dislike God that you will not have Heaven on God's terms! Now God's way of saving you is by His grace, not by your merits; by the blood of Jesus, not by your tears and sufferings. He will justify you by your simply trusting Jesus now. And the same trust must govern your earthly affections. You want to be saved by something in yourself, but God says that He will save you if you trust in Christ! So too with this matter: you are looking for a sign, a phone call, a movement in his heart, as if these were your evidence. But if you are ready to Christ and trust Him without any miracles, signs, or evidences, but will simply trust Him alone, you have within you a power which will carry you through life and preserve you in holiness even to the end. Trust Jesus; God wills it. If you will it, that is the sign that God wills it.

God's promise may tarry, but it never fails, and if it seems to fail for the time being, will it fail forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? What hot shots these are for unbelief! Do you think the thrice holy God needs your promptings to order the steps of a man? How dare you dream that He will not take care of that which concerns your good? He bids you trust His Son Jesus; will you do so or not? If you will not, there is no hope for you; if you will, you are saved the moment that you believe, saved from the guilt of sin by trusting Jesus. And in that same trust, leave this relationship. If it is His will, He will open the right doors and close the wrong ones, as you have prayed. But I ask: are you truly His, or have you kept back a bit? If your heart pants more for a human voice on a video call than for communion with the Son of God, you must examine yourself. You will never be a woman of prayer unless you feed on Christ. If Christ is not in your heart, intercessory prayer will not be in your mouths. You must feed upon Christ in your inmost soul or else you will never speak of Him with any power to others, including a godly witness to this man.

Be also on your guard: as God's witness, you will be cross-examined. Temptation will be put in your way, the devil will see whether you cannot be decoyed from your love to God. You said you trusted in your heavenly Father, Providence will cross-examine you. A trial will dash upon you. How is it now? Can you trust Him? What if this relationship withers, will your song in the night still rise? Many professing Christians think they will sneak comfortably into Heaven without bearing witness for Christ. But you are subpoenaed, you will suffer for it if you do not. You are God's pupil, learning His works, and you must then teach others. Let this season of waiting teach you to cling to the only unfailing love. Come fresh from communion with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ, and then your words, whether to this man or another, will sweetly drop into any heart.

Remember, the wealth of God's people seldom lies in ready money. Their treasure consists mostly in promises to pay, promises which God has made to His own people. But for the ungodly there are no blessed promises! If this man is not among God's people, you cannot claim for him what God has not pledged. Yet hear God's promise, and lay hold upon it: "I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy." It is all in "shalls" and "wills"! God is speaking! He will carry on His work till He brings you up to Heaven. Why, I think some of you who were very great offenders ought to often take comfort from your conversion, you can say, "What a change there is in me! It must have been God's work, 'And can He have taught me to trust in His name, And thus far have brought me, to put me to shame?'" No! He will not be disappointed. Trust Him then, not the bending of a man's heart. Go your way; only trust Him! He will give you the tongue of an instructed one; He will make you a jewel, though you feel yourself an unpolished pebble. Arise and return unto your Father, for when you are yet a great way off, He will see you and will have compassion upon you. So run to Him now with empty hands and full surrender, and leave your request where it belongs, upon the altar of a willing God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
