Entrusting my RMP 🙏

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, trusting in Your perfect wisdom, timing, and love. Thank You for bringing ### into my life. You know every detail of our hearts, our thoughts, and our future better than we ever could.

Lord, I lift up my boyfriend and chatmate in ### and with ### to You. Please touch his heart with Your love, peace, and truth and heal him. If it is Your will, give him courage to move forward in getting to know me more deeply and honestly. Order his steps according to Your perfect plan. If it is good and pleasing in Your sight, open the way for us to have a meaningful phone call or video call, and help us communicate with sincerity, openness, and respect.

Father, if this relationship is part of Your purpose for our lives, help him become intentional and serious about our communication and our relationship. Guide both of us to seek You first, to honor You in our words and actions, and to build a relationship founded on faith, honesty, trust, and genuine love.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my own desires to You. As Your Word teaches, I pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done." If this relationship is Your will, strengthen it. If You have a different path, give me the grace to trust You completely, knowing that Your plans are always good.

Fill ###'s heart and mind with the love that comes from You. If it is Your will for us to share a future together, grow in him a sincere, faithful, and unconditional love—one that reflects Your patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steadfast commitment. Likewise, shape my heart so that I may love him in a Christlike way, free from fear, selfishness, or impatience.

Protect us from misunderstanding, doubt, fear, and anything that would draw us away from You. Help us to encourage one another in faith and to walk in integrity and truth.

I place this relationship into Your loving hands. I trust You to open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and lead us according to Your perfect will. Whatever the outcome, help me rest in the assurance that Your love never fails and that Your plans for me are always for my good and for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heartfelt prayer, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for your life and this relationship. Your desire to surrender your own plans and trust in the Lord’s timing and wisdom is commendable. Scripture reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is clear you are striving to honor God in this, and we pray He continues to guide you.

However, we must gently address a few areas where your prayer and situation could better align with biblical principles. First, the term "boyfriend" is not one that Scripture endorses. Courtship, with the goal of marriage, is the biblical model for romantic relationships. If this man is not yet your husband, we encourage you to view this relationship as a season of discernment, with marriage as the intended outcome if it is God’s will. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." (Hebrews 13:4). This means that any physical or emotional intimacy outside of marriage, including sexual activity, but also deep emotional entanglements, must be guarded carefully to avoid falling into sin.

We also notice that while you mention the name of Jesus, there is no explicit acknowledgment of whether this man is a believer in Christ. Scripture is clear that Christians are not to be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he does not share your faith in Jesus, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship is honoring to God. A marriage, or even a courtship, built on differing foundations will lead to conflict and heartache. "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" (Amos 3:3).

We also want to address the nature of your communication with this man. While we understand the desire for deeper connection, we must caution against emotional or spiritual intimacy that could lead to temptation or distraction from God’s will. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18). This principle extends beyond physical sin to include emotional and spiritual boundaries. If this relationship is not moving toward marriage in a timely manner, it may be wise to step back and seek the Lord’s guidance on whether this is truly His plan for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that seek Your will above all else. We lift up this sister to You, Lord, and ask that You would give her clarity and wisdom as she navigates this relationship. Father, we pray that You would reveal Your perfect plan for her life. If this man is the one You have chosen for her, we ask that You would draw him closer to You, soften his heart, and give him a deep desire to pursue her with honor and integrity, with marriage as the goal. If he is not the one, Lord, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly, and give her the strength to trust in Your timing.

Father, we pray against any temptation or sin that may arise in this relationship. Guard their hearts and minds, and help them to flee from anything that does not honor You. If this relationship is not built on a foundation of faith in You, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them both to walk in Your truth. Lord, we pray that You would fill her with Your peace, knowing that You hold her future in Your hands. Help her to rest in the assurance that Your plans for her are good, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

We pray that You would give her the courage to set godly boundaries in this relationship, and that You would help her to seek You first in all things. May she find her identity and worth in You alone, and may she trust in Your provision for her future. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, and ask Him to reveal His will for your life. If this man is not a believer, or if this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether it is time to step away. Trust that God’s plans for you are good, and that He will lead you to the spouse He has prepared for you, if marriage is His will. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4). Keep your heart open to His leading, and He will guide you every step of the way.

We can feel the weight of your heart in this prayer and the sincere surrender in your words, that kind of honest longing for God’s will is a place of real strength, even when it feels fragile. Thank you for letting us stand with you in it.

When we entrust something so personal to the Lord, it can feel like walking toward a destination we can only glimpse now and then. Often we want more clarity than we get in a single moment. That’s not a sign something is wrong, it’s simply the way trust is built, one small step at a time. The desire you’ve expressed to seek Christ first is the very anchor that will hold you steady, regardless of how this particular relationship unfolds.

While you wait and pray, you might find it helpful to lean into a few concrete things. Keep nurturing your own friendship with Jesus in ordinary, unhurried ways. That internal quiet can guard you against rushing or fear. If you have a mature Christian friend or mentor who knows you well, consider asking that person to pray with you regularly about this, not just for the relationship, but for your own heart to rest in God’s timing. Another set of ears who is not tangled in the emotional pull can sometimes help us recognize God’s voice more clearly.

Above all, remember that the Lord who knows every detail of both your life and this man’s life is not in a hurry. He is with you in the questions.

Please pray with us now.

Lord Jesus, we lift our sister to You. Thank You for the real surrender we hear in her heart. Quiet her mind and fill her with Your peace. Give her clarity and patience as she waits on You. Encourage her to seek You first, and guard her from doubt and anxiety. We ask that Your will be done in this connection, open the doors that are from You, close any that are not, and hold her secure in Your love. We pray for healing and wholeness for the man she cares about, and for both of them to walk in integrity and truth. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I am glad that Jesus is the Object of your search, for depend upon it, nothing else is worth seeking for, salvation from sin and Hell should be the first object of your soul's desire. For an alarmed and awakened sinner to seek rest in ceremonies will be a search for bread among ashes. Faith will lift you up in the power of Jesus. Never hope to be saved except by God's way of salvation.

You desire truth in the inward parts. Where Jesus Christ reigns in the interior, the Glory of His Presence will glow in the exterior, too! In your heart and in your life you will worship Him, you will adore Him so as to spend yourself for Him, for this is wisdom towards the truth as it is in Jesus! He that really fears God expects to conquer even though, for a time, he seems to be defeated.

He healeth the broken in heart; He WILL do it. Is thy heart broken? Take heart, for this is a grand thought for you that fear Him and confide in Him, you shall have a place of refuge! You must still continue to pray, for you do not know what God's will is, but you must pray with resignation, after your Savior's perfect model in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Nevertheless not as I will, but as You will." In lowly reverence we will bow ourselves down in the very dust, for we are but dust and ashes even when we are saved.

We will worship at His footstool.

You speak of a "relationship," yet acknowledge this man has never even spoken with you by voice. Consider the depth of trust you place in mere words on a screen. Even the prophet warned, "Trust ye not in friends, have not hope in guides; yea, even of her that lieth in thy bosom beware, in respect of communicating aught." If such caution is needed for those we see daily, how much more for one whose face you have never beheld, whose voice you have never heard?

A man who requires prayer to find courage for a simple conversation is not a man prepared to lead a godly household. You ask the Lord to make him "intentional and serious," yet the Lord has already shown you his intentions through his actions. Why do you entreat God to override another's free will rather than receive the plain testimony of his neglect?

Now, concerning communication, the Apostle speaks of a holy exchange where both parties give and receive. He writes of the Philippians, "No Church had fellowship with me, in the matter of giving and receiving, but ye only." True Christian fellowship involves mutual giving. What are you receiving from this arrangement? Anxiety, uncertainty, and a need to beg heaven for basic decency. Compare the state of your soul after hours of waiting for messages with the peace you find in Scripture. "Evil communications corrupt good manners," and I must ask plainly: does this constant messaging with one who will not commit his voice to you draw you nearer to holiness or further from it?

The Lord stands ready to receive your trust. He says, "Give it into my hand." You have entrusted this man with your heart, your time, your emotional energy. Yet Christ Himself asks you to entrust all to Him who alone is faithful to keep what is committed to Him. Why run to a man who gives you only words on a screen when the Master of heaven extends His own hand?

Test this matter. A godly husband will pursue you with clarity, not leave you grasping at digital shadows. If this man is Christ's, let him prove it by deeds, not typed sentiments. And let your own faith become effectual through action, not passive waiting on one who will not even speak your name aloud. If God has a different path, do not mourn it. Rather, rejoice that He closes doors that lead nowhere.

Your prayer reveals a heart that genuinely longs for God’s will, and that is a precious thing. When we come to a crossroads like this and lay our desires at His feet, it’s a mark of the Spirit’s work in us. Too often we treat God like a dispenser of favors we’ve already chosen, but you’ve stepped into something deeper: “Not my will, but Yours be done.” That’s the very prayer Jesus prayed in the garden as He set His face toward the cross. He submitted to a plan that looked like loss but was in fact the Father’s glorious purpose. So your willingness to entrust this relationship to God, even if it means a different path, already places you on solid ground.

Yet we must be careful. Scripture never encourages us to presume we have a personal, detailed roadmap for each decision, or that healing or a particular outcome is always God’s direct will. The apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for that thorn in his flesh to be removed, and the answer was no: God had a different design, one that made His grace shine brighter than any relief ever could. Paul learned to say, “I want Christ to be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.” His greatest fear was not missing a desired experience but stepping outside God’s will. So as you pray for this young man to be healed in his heart, to find courage, and for a meaningful connection to open up, hold those requests loosely. God does heal and guide, but His ways often run deeper than our sense of timing or what seems reasonable. The real work He wants to do may be in you, cultivating a deeper trust that doesn’t depend on a yes.

The heart of every situation is our relationship with God Himself. The law written on tablets of stone could only command obedience; the new covenant writes God’s ways on our hearts so that we love and serve Him from the inside out. That’s what matters most. If this man were to become more intentional, it should be because the Spirit is drawing him closer to Christ and producing in him a sincere, faithful love, not just a temporary emotional shift. And you are asking to be shaped into a love free from fear and impatience. Those are right desires. But don’t tie God’s faithfulness to a specific route. He often gives us latitude; there can be a permissive path when we resist His first best. The question isn’t only, “Is this relationship Your will?” but also, “Are both of our hearts fully turned toward You?”

If this connection is meant to grow, God will clear the way in time, and you’ll walk forward with integrity and peace. If it fades, it may well be His mercy, steering you away from second best and toward something you cannot yet see. Either way, your identity and security don’t hang on a chat or a call; they rest on the unshakable fact that your life is hidden with Christ. Keep yourself in the love of God. Trust that He knows how to give good gifts, even when those gifts arrive in a package we didn’t expect.

So pray on. Seek His face more than a sign. Let His Word burn within you like a fire you cannot hold back, shaping your longings. And whatever comes, know this: a future secured by the resurrection is already yours. The Spirit who transforms our mortal bodies will also guide the small steps. You are safe in His hands, and He will never let go.

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in faith beside you for this precious relationship. It has been our joy to lift up your boyfriend, your communication, and your shared future before the Lord, trusting Him to work according to His perfect will.

As the days have passed, we continue to pray that God’s peace would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask the Holy Spirit to draw both of you closer to the Father, that your conversations—whether through messages, calls, or in person—would be filled with sincerity, respect, and a deepening trust in Him. If it is God’s will, we pray He would open the door for meaningful connection, removing any fear or hesitation and replacing it with courage, clarity, and confidence in His plan.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way you can see, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give thanks together. If you’re still waiting, know that we are not finished praying. We will continue to intercede, asking God to strengthen your faith, deepen your trust, and guide every step as you surrender this relationship to Him.

May the Lord bless you with His presence and peace as you seek Him above all else. May He fill you with hope, patience, and unwavering confidence in His goodness. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
