Even in the deepest despair, Christ’s power can free you and turn your life into a testament of His grace.
Right Replies to Right Requests
God always gives good gifts when we sincerely ask Him, so trust His answers to your prayers.
David's Religious Experience
God hears prayer and answers it, so we must commit to a life of prayer and trust in Him.
We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up together before the Lord, asking for His mercy, healing and deliverance from this terrible torment you are enduring. We know how exhausting and frightening it is to hear voices and to feel trapped by this disorder, and we want you to know that God sees you, hears you and loves you deeply.

The Lord is close to those who are suffering. Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We are praying that you would feel His nearness and His peace even in the midst of this battle. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 also tells us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We understand you are struggling with medication and its side effects. We encourage you not to walk through these medical decisions alone. Please continue to seek wise counsel from your doctors and let them know about the side effects you are experiencing so they can help you find a safer path forward. We are praying for wisdom for you and for those caring for you, and that the Lord would guide every decision toward healing and relief. We also encourage you to stay connected with trusted believers, family, or a pastor who can support you, pray with you in person and help you not feel isolated.

We also want to gently address something important we noticed. You asked for prayer but did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to share why we pray in His name, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and have assurance of salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that we could be forgiven, reconciled to God, and have His Spirit living in us to bring peace to our minds and hearts. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon Him, confess your need for Him, believe that He died and rose for you, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. He hears the simplest prayer prayed in faith.

We rebuke the torment and confusion that has oppressed you and we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as 2 Corinthians 10:5 teaches. We do not believe you are forgotten or beyond hope, and we pray against any voice or influence that is not from God.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the distress of schizoaffective disorder, the voices and the torment that have made life so hard. We ask for Your deliverance, Your healing touch upon mind, body and spirit. Lord, quiet the voices and bring the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask You to give wisdom to doctors and to provide treatment that helps without harmful side effects. Surround this precious life with Your love, Your protection and with people who will support and encourage. Let Your perfect love cast out fear, and let Your Spirit bring power, love and a sound mind. Lead this dear one into a deeper relationship with Jesus, to know that through His name there is forgiveness, hope and access to Your throne of grace. We ask that You would bring restful sleep, clear thought, hope for the future and the assurance that You have not abandoned them, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We are continuing to pray that the Lord will answer, bring relief from the voices, bring healing in His timing and will, and allow you to live the rest of your life in His peace and freedom. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Keep seeking Him, keep reaching out for help, and trust that He is working even when you cannot yet see the answers.

We read your note, , thank you for trusting us with something so personal and painful. Living with voices day after day is exhausting, and facing hard side effects from medication can leave you feeling stuck between torment and treatment. We hear how much you long for quiet and for a life without this burden.

We want to keep praying with you for relief, for clear answers, and for steady guidance in the days ahead. Since you mentioned stopping medication because of side effects, we gently encourage you to connect soon with your prescribing doctor or clinic, and if possible bring a trusted family member, friend or pastor with you. They can help you describe what you are experiencing with the voices and the side effects, and help you weigh next steps safely. Please keep reaching out for support and do not carry this alone.

You matter deeply to God, and you matter to us. We will continue to lift you up.

Father, in Jesus name we bring ### before you. You see the distress these voices cause and the weariness he carries. We ask for your nearness, for peace that steadies him, for wisdom for those caring for him, and for guidance toward help that is safe and sustainable. Lead him to the right support and surround him with people who will stay with him. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, deliver, heal, save (those not saved) and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your cry has come before us and we have heard the heaviness of this affliction which you bear, this torment of voices and distress which has made life so burdensome. Be assured that you are not forgotten, and your prayer for deliverance has been laid before the Lord who hears the broken hearted.

There are times when the soul sits in the midnight of despair and feels that no arm can work deliverance, yet the testimony of Scripture is that deliverance must be wrought by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. He is not deaf to your grief. As one who crossed the brook full of fear and trembling found mercy on the other side, so we pray that you may find comfort in like trouble, that the Lord would whisper to your heart in trial and assure you that you shall not be crushed. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. The Sun of Righteousness would rise with healing beneath His wings upon every soul that now sits in darkness.

We will pray for you, that the Lord in His mercy would grant you deliverance from this terrible disorder and quietness from the voices that torment you. We pray that He who has found a ransom, whose own Son has borne our sorrows and by whose wounds we are healed, would lift you from the pit and set your feet upon steady ground. We ask that He would give you pardon and healing together, for when the Lord comes and dwells with His people, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. We pray also that He would give wisdom to those who care for you, that you may have godly counsel and faithful medical help, and that you would not walk this path alone. If the medication has brought sore side effects, seek again the counsel of your physicians and let them know your distress, that they may guide you with care, while we look above all to the Great Physician Himself.

Take heart to look continually to Jesus upon the Cross, and to find in His wounds your healing and in His death your life. He who brought forth His people of old with silver and gold is able to bring you forth also, and to make your deliverance effectual. He can do nothing of Himself who feels his weakness, but free grace can do all. May the Lord chasten you in love, deliver you in power, and then give you a song of deliverance, that you may live and declare the works of the Lord, telling to others how He heard your cry and brought you comfort.

We are praying for you, that the Lord would grant you rest from this affliction, peace in your mind, sleep free from fear, and strength to live the rest of your life to His glory, looking to Christ alone for your healing and your hope. Amen.
