Beloved of All
I have two encouragements... What we do -- die to self & what God does -- carry us on to completion : )
1) "I have been crucified with Christ -- I no longer live, but Christ lives in me --The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me" (Gal. 2:20).
2) Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
is when I carried you."

"I am confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ" (Phil 1:6 NIV).
Father in Heaven, our request is that You would give strength and determination for us as Your Son's bride to die to ourselves and let you live through us, yea, even carry us on to the finish line. Many of us are too tired to run. Gently carry those of us who have stumbled, or, because of distain of this earthly life, have resigned it's futility, and have ceased to strive after the wind, it ever evading our attempts to grasp it, and yet the fringe of Your Son's garments smell so invitingly cozy, that all else is deleted temporarily... Weary and heavy laden, give us rest for our souls, and unyoke our false burdens, that we may testify of Your kindness once again with a fresh and bouyant spirit... Through the One Mediator between God and man, given as a ransom to release us from all sins, and cloth us with perfect righteousness instantaneously through trusting the work of God, believing on the One He has sent, amen.
