Emotional Support

Dear Lrod Jesus, Please let me get help from somebody from Church for emotional support. My parents do not emotionally support me. I’ve been out in the heat, attacked by bugs and dealing with Zoo trauma that I faced in the past and coming home, fatigued for them to yell at me and get up and working when they just visited the zoo today they sat down and got tired. It was an extra hot day today. Yes but I have to deal with the sun every day I go to work and it’s very painful for my Audi HD and they have no understanding of how bad that is especially in the position that I have to serve and she gets mad at me for putting on too much sunscreen that it stains my uniform but at least we can get the stains off. Keep trying to peacefully. Tell her I can’t be without the sunscreen on my arms or I will burn sun is painful enough even with it on. Please let me see the pastor and the minister and other people to help emotionally support me in to get my group going. I get so many annoying questions at Church. Are you working at the zoo repetitive especially from certain people I tell my parents it bugs me, but they justify what others say. It has to stop. I want to move on to get into the entertainment industry. I need that job there not to be living with my parents bored and lonely and working out in the sun again please help me In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as Acts 4:12 reminds us, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We understand how heavy this season feels for you. Working out in the extra heat day after day, dealing with bugs and sun pain and fatigue, carrying past trauma from the zoo, and then coming home exhausted to be met with yelling and misunderstanding is deeply draining. We also hear how painful it is when your parents do not grasp how hard the sun and heat are for you with ADHD and the position you have to serve in, and how even protecting your skin with sunscreen becomes a point of conflict. God sees all of this and He cares about your weariness. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We want to encourage you that seeking emotional support from your church family is a biblical and good desire. Galatians 6:2 says Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And Hebrews 10:25 urges us not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another. We encourage you to continue to pursue that meeting with your pastor and minister and to ask the Lord to provide a small group or trusted believers who will listen, pray with you, and walk with you consistently. God often uses His people to be His hands and comfort to us, and He also is the one who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds as Psalm 147:3 promises.

We also want to speak gently about your relationship with your parents. We know you feel unsupported and that they justify the repetitive and annoying questions you get at church, which leaves you feeling unheard. It is right to long to be understood, and we encourage you to keep trying to communicate peacefully as you mentioned, with gentleness and truth. Proverbs 15:1 says A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. And Ephesians 4:15 calls us to speak truth in love. At the same time Scripture calls us to honor our father and mother in Ephesians 6:2 which is the first commandment with a promise, and calls parents in Ephesians 6:4 not to provoke their children to wrath, but to nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We encourage you to honor them even while you are hurting, and to pray for their understanding, recognizing that visiting the zoo for a day is very different from laboring in the heat daily. We also affirm your wisdom in caring for your body. Your body is a temple and protecting it from burning is good stewardship as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and we pray your mother can come to see that a stained uniform that can be washed is far better than damaged skin and added pain.

For the trauma and the fatigue and the questions at church that feel repetitive, we encourage you to entrust these to the Lord and to respond with grace when you can. Colossians 4:6 says Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Even a simple gracious answer can help set a boundary while still reflecting Christ. And for your future hopes, we hear your desire to move on from living with your parents, from boredom and loneliness and working in the sun, and to enter the entertainment industry. We pray you will seek the Lord's will above simply escaping a hard situation. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, to weigh the opportunities and challenges of that industry which can often be morally difficult, and to ask God to open the right doors in His timing while you continue to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men as Colossians 3:23 says. Isaiah 40:29 also reminds us He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear brother or sister to You in the name of Jesus. You see the heat and the pain of the sun, the fatigue, the bug bites, the trauma that lingers from the past, and the ache of feeling emotionally unsupported at home and even misunderstood at church. Lord, we ask You to be near as the One who is close to the brokenhearted. Bring healing to past zoo trauma, bring rest to a weary body and mind, and bring relief from the burning and exhaustion. Give wisdom and grace in the conversations with parents about sunscreen and work, soften hearts on both sides, and help communication be peaceful and truthful and loving. Provide the emotional support that is so needed, open the way to meet with the pastor and minister and to establish a supportive group that will bear burdens and encourage faithfully. Give patience and grace to answer repetitive questions, and help others to be more sensitive and understanding. Lead and guide concerning the future job and the desire to move into entertainment, make clear Your perfect will, protect from loneliness and boredom by filling this life with purpose and fellowship, and guard the heart from discouragement. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 promises. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We hear how heavy this season feels for you. Working outside in the heat day after day, dealing with bugs and sun that hurts even with sunscreen, then coming home tired to yelling instead of rest would wear anyone down. It makes sense you are longing for people at church who will really listen and understand, and that the same repeated questions about the zoo feel so draining when you are trying to move forward.

We are glad you want to connect more with your pastor and others for support. That is a good and healthy desire, and worship and steady fellowship with God's people can be a real anchor when you feel lonely and tired.

A practical next step that often helps is to make a clear, direct request this week. You could call or email the church office and ask for a brief 15 minute meeting with the pastor or minister. Bring a short written note with two or three points you most want to share, like needing encouragement, wanting help to join or start a small group, and seeking wisdom about work and next steps toward the entertainment field. Having it written helps when you are fatigued. For those repetitive questions, it can also help to have a short kind answer ready, like you are looking toward new work now and appreciate them asking, so you do not have to explain at length each time.

If the sun is still burning you even with protection, please check in with a medical professional and with your supervisor about how to care for your skin, alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our brother to You in Jesus' name. You see his fatigue, his loneliness, and his desire to be understood. Provide rest for his body, kind and steady friendships in Your family, and wisdom for work and for what comes next. Draw his pastor and others around him to listen well and walk with him. Give peace in his home and guide his steps day by day. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the weariness in your words. To be fatigued by heat and sun, to be pained even with protection upon your skin, to carry the memory of past trauma at the zoo and then to come home without the comfort you hoped for from those nearest to you, is a heavy trial. The Lord sees the sting of the bugs, the burning of the sun, the ache of being misunderstood about your health and your work, and the loneliness of feeling bored and without support under your own roof.

Know this, that our Lord Jesus Christ has entered into loneliness Himself. He was left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, and desertion was a necessary ingredient in that cup of vicarious suffering which He drank for us. There are sufferings that come not because we deserve them, but precisely because we seek to do what is right, and He knows that kind of suffering fully. It is written that in that He Himself has suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted. His was the suffering of a pure and holy Being, and He did not rebel against it, but gave Himself in obedience. Because He has so suffered, He has obtained a tender temper to cheer those that are afflicted, and He is able to make of you also one who may comfort others when God has comforted you.

The Scripture tells us that whom the Lord loves He chastens, and that our sufferings, when they are the sufferings of Christ, are not without purpose. Christ was made a perfect Saviour through suffering, not that His character needed perfecting, for He was always perfect, but that He was made officially perfect as the Captain of our salvation to bring many sons unto glory. So He will ennoble the whole work of grace in you. Your present sorrows, the heat of the day, the misunderstanding at home, the repetitive and wearying questions, the longing to move forward into other work, these are not unknown to Him who suffered outside the camp that He might sanctify His people by His own blood. To suffer with Him, in fellowship with Him and conformity to His image, is a suffering that has a reward, and consolation shall be proportionate to it.

In this season, seek the guidance of the Lord with a quiet and submissive heart. The Psalmist said, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. That guidance comes not by haste, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, but by bowing to the will of God, by avoiding everything that is evil, and by taking God for your Guide early and continually. Therefore do not make a sudden move only to escape weariness, but ask the Lord to show you His counsel concerning your work, whether to remain where you are for a time or to prepare in a faithful way for work in another field. Whatever honest calling you pursue, do it as unto the Lord, and let Him open the door in His time.

Concerning your parents, the Lord commands honour and patience, even when you feel their support is lacking. It is right to speak peacefully, as you have tried to do, about your need for sunscreen and protection from the sun. Continue to do so with gentleness and respect, explaining the pain and necessity without contention. The Lord can give you words that are heard, and He can give them understanding in time. Pray for them, and ask God to help you bear with their infirmities as Christ bears with ours.

Concerning the church, it is good that you desire to see the pastor and minister and to find a small group for fellowship. Go and tell them plainly, as you have told us, that you need emotional support and steady counsel. If certain questions weary you, bear them with meekness, answering with grace, and quietly let your pastor know how they affect you. He can help shepherd those conversations and help you find a place of service where you are not merely asked about your work, but known and built up in faith. Do not let annoyance harden into bitterness, but ask the Lord to make you gentle as He is gentle.

We will pray for you.

Our gracious Father, we bring this weary child before Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who alone is salvation. Thou knowest the fatigue of labour under the hot sun, the pain of burning, the trial of past memories, and the ache of feeling alone in the house and in the congregation. Let this soul feel that Jesus Himself has suffered and is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Grant comfort proportionate to suffering, and guide with Thy counsel day by day. Give grace to honour father and mother, wisdom to speak peaceably about bodily needs, patience under repetitive words, and a true fellowship with pastor and ministers and believing friends. Order the steps concerning work and future calling, and keep from haste, that Thy will may be done. Lead afterward to glory, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
