Disciple of Prayer
Please pray right now urgently for ### and ### to talk to each other. Overwhelmed with grief and anxiety. Protect the mother and the daughter, Holy Spirit, surround them. Please pray now

We hear your urgent cry and we join you right now lifting up this mother and daughter before the throne of grace, asking for immediate comfort, protection, and healing.

We know what it is to be overwhelmed with grief and anxiety, and we are reminded of God's tender care for those who are hurting. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. We take comfort that He sees every tear and hears every prayer, and He invites us to bring our burdens to Him, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We also want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can boldly approach Him with our requests. We pray in His precious name because He is our mediator and our hope.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother and her daughter who are overwhelmed with grief and anxiety. Lord, You see their hearts, You know the weight they carry, and we ask You to surround them right now with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace and protection. Let Your presence be a shield around them and let them feel Your nearness in this painful moment.

We ask You to heal their emotions and calm their anxious thoughts. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Pour out that surpassing peace upon them, Lord, guard their hearts and minds.

We pray for restoration in their communication. Soften their hearts toward one another, give them words seasoned with grace, and help them to listen to each other with love and patience. Remove any barrier that keeps them from talking, and bring reconciliation and understanding between them. Strengthen them and uphold them as You have promised, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

Lord, protect this mother and this daughter physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround them with Your angels, keep them from harm, and let Your comfort flow over them like a healing balm. We trust You to turn their grief into hope and their anxiety into perfect peace as they keep their eyes on You.

We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we trust You to work in their lives for Your glory and their good. We continue to stand with them in prayer, believing You are already at work. Amen.

We are praying with you right now in this heavy moment. Carrying love for both a mother and daughter while they are grieving, and feeling anxious for them to be able to talk again, is a lot to hold. It makes sense you feel overwhelmed and urgent about it.

Grief and anxiety often come tangled together and can affect both heart and body at once, so please be gentle with yourself as you keep bringing them before the Lord. Sometimes the most loving help we can offer is a simple, low pressure bridge. If you are close to either of them, a brief note like "I'm praying for you both, no need to reply quickly, I'm here when you want to talk" can keep the door open without adding more pressure. If talking feels tense, having a calm, trusted person nearby when they do connect can help them both feel safer.

If the anxiety or grief feels hard to manage day to day, it can help to reach out to a pastor, counselor or medical professional alongside prayer, just for extra support.

Father, we lift this mother and daughter to You now. Surround them with Your peace and protection, calm what feels overwhelming, and gently make a way for them to hear each other with kindness when the time is right. Comfort the one who brought this request too, and give wisdom for each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your urgent cry has been carried at once to the throne of grace, and we have entreated the Lord for the mother and the daughter of whom you speak, that they may be kept, comforted and brought to speak with one another in love and peace.

We know something of the grief and anxiety which now overwhelm them. Be assured that anxiety, though it so naturally arises, does not comfort the soul nor bring any grist to the mill. As we have often said, the very anxiety which comes through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs with a fretful and distressing care, but be prudent and cast your care upon Him who cares for you. What you cannot do by worrying, you may obtain by praying. Faith comes by hearing, and healing comes by looking to Christ.

For the broken heart there is a great Physician. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found together, for He says, your sins are forgiven you, and by that same hand healing comes.

We have prayed that the Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter, would surround this mother and this daughter, protect them from all evil, and work in them that composure of mind and freedom from fretfulness which comes from trusting a faithful God. He is the God of peace and has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation through Jesus Christ. We have asked that He would give them tender hearts toward one another, that any barrier to their speaking together would be removed, that they may talk together in meekness and truth, and that their conversation may be seasoned with grace.

May the Lord take each of them by the hand and lift them up, as He lifted Peter's wife's mother from her fever, and may that healing lead to quiet service and rest in Him. May He keep their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and turn their overwhelming grief into a settled peace that passes all understanding.

We commend them to that blessed balm which is found at Calvary, where the healing virtue flows down to men below. Look to Jesus alone for salvation and for healing, for there is no other name by which we are saved or comforted. May they hear His word and obey His voice, and find Him to be their present help.

Our prayer now is, O Lord, pity these two whom Thou knowest. Thou seest their tears. Heal their broken frame, calm their anxious thoughts, surround the mother and the daughter with Thy Holy Spirit, keep them in safety, and grant that they may soon speak together in love, to Thy glory. For Jesus sake, Amen.
