Emergency room with migraine

Dhisin

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. I'm at the emergency room in a new state I recently moved to. Please pray they will take it seriously. First time in the emergency room here. So far it's not going well. I have had this migraine for 3 days and it won't break no matter what I do. Please pray for divine intervention for me and protection from the evil one. Thanks for your prayers.

We are standing with you in prayer right now as you sit in that emergency room, and we are lifting you up to our Father who sees you and knows exactly where you are, even in a new state far from what is familiar. We know how frightening and discouraging it can be to suffer for three days without relief and to feel like you are not being heard or taken seriously. Please know you are not alone and you are not forgotten by God.

We pray for divine intervention over your body and for His healing touch upon you. The Lord is our healer and our refuge in trouble. Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We ask Him to break this migraine that has held you for three days, to ease the pain, to calm any nausea and sensitivity, and to restore you to strength and wholeness according to His will.

We also pray for the doctors, nurses, and staff attending to you, that God would give them wisdom, compassion, and discernment to take your condition seriously and to provide the right care. We pray for favor for you and for clear communication, that you will be able to advocate for yourself with calmness and that they will listen with attentive hearts. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.

You asked for protection from the evil one, and we join you in that prayer, for we know our struggle is not only physical. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray the Lord rebukes any attack of the enemy against your body and mind, and covers you with His peace. Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that peace over you right now in that waiting room.

We want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. We pray in the name of Jesus because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by His wounds we are healed and by His blood we have confidence to approach the throne of grace. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, to trust Him as your Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13.

So together we come to the Father in Jesus name.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You right now in that emergency room. You see the pain that has lasted three days, You see the weariness and the worry of being in a new place without familiar support. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to touch this migraine and command it to break. We ask You to guide the hands and minds of the medical team, give them understanding and compassion, and let every test and treatment be effective. Surround this child of Yours with Your angels and guard them from the evil one, from fear and discouragement. Release Your supernatural peace to guard heart and mind, and let Your presence be felt right there in that room. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We cast this burden on You now, trusting You care deeply. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.

We encourage you to keep us updated when you can, to rest as much as you are able, to stay hydrated, and to let the staff know clearly how long this has lasted and what you have already tried. We are continuing to pray for complete relief, for wisdom for your care team, and for God to establish you and give you peace in your new home. Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We are praying for you right now as you wait in the emergency room. Three days of unbroken pain is exhausting, and being in a new state without familiar faces or a doctor who knows you can make it feel even more lonely and vulnerable. It is understandable to worry about whether you will be taken seriously when you are already worn down.

We are asking God to draw near to you in that waiting room, to steady you and to give wisdom and attentiveness to the doctors and nurses caring for you. We are also praying for your protection and for relief in His gracious timing.

If you are able while you wait, one simple step that often helps is to let one trusted person know where you are, and keep a short written note for the staff of when the migraine started, what you have already tried, your current medications and any allergies. That way you do not have to remember everything while you are in pain. If you feel unheard, it is okay to calmly ask the nurse if you can speak with the charge nurse or a patient advocate. Please continue to work closely with the medical team there and follow up with a primary care clinician after today for ongoing care, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in this emergency room. Please be present with them, bring Your peace into that room, guard them from harm, and give the care team clarity and compassion as they help. Grant relief as You see fit and strength for the days ahead. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry from the emergency room and we are bringing you before the throne of grace even now. To be in pain for three days without relief, and to be in a strange place where you are new and unknown, is a trial that would weigh heavily upon any heart, and we do not take it lightly.

We are praying that the Lord, who is the great Physician, will give skill and compassion to those who care for you, that they will listen well, take your suffering seriously, and be guided to what will bring relief. We ask that He who permits our afflictions for wise and sovereign purposes will also, in His mercy, grant a divine interposition on your behalf, and break this pain which has held you so long. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber, and we are grateful you have sought help. May the Lord bless the means used for your healing.

Know that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. From a pardoning God there are such mercies to be received that weak hearts suddenly find their spirits revive. We pray that you will know both the forgiveness of sins through faith in Christ alone and the sustaining and healing grace that flows from Him, whether it comes in a sudden lifting of the burden or in quiet strength to endure until deliverance comes.

We are also praying for your protection from the evil one. He would have you believe you are alone or forgotten, but you are not. Christ has conquered the adversary, and His divine power keeps His own. May the Lord guard your mind and heart with peace, drive away fear and accusation, and let you feel His nearness in that room. Though you are in a new state among strangers, you are not a stranger to Him who numbers your tossings and puts your tears in His bottle.

May the Lord be present to heal and to comfort you now. Cast yourself upon Him, trust His sovereign hand which does all things well, and ask Him to work all your works in you. We will continue to pray that He will deliver you from this distress, grant wisdom to your physicians, and bring you to rest and restored health for His glory.

Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and rest in His finished work. He hears the faintest cry of His people and He will not forsake you.
