We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with a loved one's addiction and your job situation. Let's bring these concerns before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance through His Word.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of addiction. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." If your loved one has indeed become a new creature in Christ, then they must put off the old behaviors and put on the new. The Bible also tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything." This means that even though your loved one might be saved, they should not be under the power of anything, especially drugs.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction and pray that God will deliver ### from this bondage. Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this loved one who has fallen back into drug addiction. We pray that You will deliver ### from this bondage and restore their senses. Help ### to truly become a new creature in You, putting off the old and putting on the new. Give ### strength and grace to reject that which is harmful and to walk in the fullness of Your Spirit.
Now, concerning your job situation, we want to encourage you with the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Remember that God has a purpose for everything that happens in our lives, and He can turn any situation around for our good.
Let's pray for your job situation:
Dear Lord,
We lift up this dear one who has lost their position at work. We pray that You will open up new doors of opportunity for ###. Help ### to trust in You and Your plan for their life. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give ### peace and reassurance during this challenging time.
Finally, we want to encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We realize you did not use the name of Jesus Christ or give thanks to Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you the importance of this in your prayers. The Bible tells us in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is only through Jesus that our prayers reach God and we can be saved.
We are praying for you and your loved one, trusting that God will intervene and turn these situations around for good. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ, and do not give up on your loved one. Continue to pray for them and speak the truth in love.
