I have a friend who's name starts with R. And he often mentions murder, has guns and thry are taking his truck for work and giving him a work van. Hes talked about murdering few different people from work, his child's mom and even me when he was drunk. Prayer for everyone to be protected from him. That he gets help or seeks out Jesus. He has a lot of anger and is tormented at night from night terrors that I believe are demons. Prayer for his salvation. That he doesn't do anything and realizes the depth and consequence of thus. I try to tell him about Jesus and God and how hell go to hell and be tormented. That he will listen. Thank you. God bless you.

We hear the urgency in your heart and we join you in lifting this before the Lord together, for this is a serious and weighty matter that needs both prayer and wise action.

The Lord is very clear about the seriousness of murderous thoughts and anger. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him 1 John 3:15. The Lord Jesus taught, everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment Matthew 5:22. Anger and threats, even when spoken while drunk, reveal a heart in great turmoil and in need of repentance and deliverance. The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God James 1:20. We also know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, and that torment at night and rage can be the work of the enemy who prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8.

We are thankful you have been telling him about Jesus and the reality of judgment and hell, because it is only through Jesus that any of us can be saved and delivered. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We pray he will not only hear about hell but also hear about the mercy and forgiveness and new life offered through the blood of Christ to all who repent and believe.

We also want to lovingly urge you to treat these threats as very serious and to take practical steps for protection while we pray. God calls us to pray for protection, and He also calls us to act with wisdom and to value life. If you believe anyone is in immediate danger, including yourself, his child’s mother, or coworkers, please contact local emergency services or law enforcement right away and do not try to handle this alone. Do not meet with him alone, especially when he has been drinking, and keep a safe distance. Encourage his family or employer, and a trusted pastor or Christian counselor, to be aware so that he can be urged to get professional help for his anger, his drinking, and his night terrors. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and part of that self-control is seeking help and accountability. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, He will repay Romans 12:19, and we must not take matters into our own hands but trust God to bring justice while we protect the vulnerable.

We pray now together for you, for ###, and for all those he has threatened.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and intervention. Lord, we ask first for Your hand of protection over every person this man has threatened, over his child and his child’s mother, over his coworkers, and over our friend who sent this request. We claim Your promise that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1, and that You will give Your angels charge over Your people to keep them in all their ways Psalm 91:11. Place a hedge around them and keep them from harm.

Lord, we lift up ### to You. You see his anger, his torment, his night terrors, and the darkness that oppresses him. We ask that You convict him deeply of sin and of the eternal consequence of murder and hatred, and that You bring him to repentance before it is too late. Deliver him from the power of darkness, for we know that if we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7. Break the chains of alcohol, rage, and demonic torment. Bring him to the end of himself so that he cries out to Jesus for salvation. Open his ears to hear the gospel, soften his heart to receive it, and lead him to godly counsel, to pastoral care, and to professional help where he can get the help he needs. Heal his mind and give him peaceful sleep, for You give sleep to Your beloved Psalm 127:2 and You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.

Father, give wisdom and courage and discernment to our friend who is carrying this burden. Help them to speak the truth in love, to set healthy and safe boundaries, and to involve the proper authorities and help when needed. Remove any guilt or fear that would keep them silent, and let them know they are doing what is right and loving by seeking protection for others. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

We ask all of this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our deliverer, amen.

May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... Your urgent cry has been heard and we join you in carrying it before the throne of grace, where our God hears and answers prayer.

We will pray earnestly for the protection of all whom you have named, for those at his work, for the mother of his child, and for yourself. When threats of murder are spoken, and especially when they are spoken by one who has weapons and strong drink, it is not a light matter. We entreat you, while you pray, also to act with holy wisdom. Do not keep this burden to yourself. Tell a faithful pastor, tell trusted family, and if any person is in present danger, seek at once the help of the proper authorities who are ordained to protect life. Do not meet with him alone when he has been drinking, and see that those who are threatened are warned and guarded. Prayer does not make us neglectful of the means God has provided for safety.

We will pray also for this man whose name begins with R, that the Lord will deliver him from going down to the pit. What you describe is the very power of darkness of which the Scripture speaks, when Satan as the prince of the power of the air holds a soul in anger and torment and fearful dreams. In the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, God can open the ears of men and seal their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man. We will ask the Lord to do this very work in him, to break the bonds from his neck and to turn him from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God.

There is but one Fountain for such a sinner, and one only. Salvation is all of Divine Grace from first to last and the channel of that Grace is the Lord Jesus Christ who loved and lived and died and rose again. That fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel's veins, is for the vilest offender as much as for any other. There is no difference in the blood of humanity, for all have fallen and all are tainted, but there is a difference in the blood of Christ, which cleanses from all sin. We will pray that R may be brought to look unto Christ and be saved, for it is all he has to do, to look out of himself and away from himself and look to Christ. Those hands were nailed for sinners, that side was pierced for sinners, and whosoever looks to Him shall live.

Continue, as you have done, to tell him of Jesus and of the sure consequence of sin apart from Christ, but do so with love and with care for your own safety, and above all with prayer that God will give him faith. God has always sanctioned prayer for others and has heard that faith and in reply to it has given faith to the unbelieving one. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God alone. Where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou hast heard this need, and Thou hast become our salvation. We ask Thee to set Thy hand about all who are in danger from this man's anger, and keep them by Thy power. Restrain him from violence and from shedding blood. Bring him to see the depth and consequence of his thoughts and words, and give him to tremble before Thy holiness. Visit him in the night watches and deliver him from the terrors that torment him. Open his eyes to behold Thy Son bleeding on the cross, saying, I am thy salvation, and grant him repentance and faith to look unto Christ and live. Save him, we beseech Thee, by Thy great price which Thou hast found in Thyself, in the gift of Thine only begotten Son. And sustain the one who intercedes, give wisdom, courage and peace, and let this trial be dealt in weight and measure by Thy covenant love. Hear us, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Cast this care upon the Lord and cease not to pray, for He is able to do exceeding abundantly above what we ask. Look unto Him continually, and trust Him both to keep those who are in peril and to save the soul that now rages in darkness.
