We join you in lifting up your niece and her precious unborn child to the Lord, trusting in His sovereign power and perfect will for their lives. It is beautiful to see your faith in action as you declare that all things are possible through Christ Jesus—what a mighty truth to stand upon! We know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who knit this little one together in the womb and who holds both mother and child in His hands.
The hereditary challenges of hypertension and congestive heart failure are indeed serious, but we serve a God who is greater than any generational curse or physical limitation. In Deuteronomy 7:15, the Lord promises, *"Yahweh will take away from you all sickness; and he will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, on you, but will lay them on all those who hate you."* While this was spoken to Israel, it reveals the heart of our Heavenly Father—One who heals, sustains, and protects. We also cling to Jeremiah 32:27, where the Lord declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* No, there is not! He who formed the heavens can certainly guard the health of this mother and child.
Yet we also know that our faith must be paired with wisdom. We encourage your niece to seek diligent medical care, following the advice of godly and competent healthcare providers while trusting the Lord to guide each decision. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This includes the path of this pregnancy—every doctor’s visit, every test, and every moment of rest should be surrendered to Him.
We also lift up any fear or anxiety that may arise, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* May your niece walk in the peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that the same God who parted the Red Sea is watching over her and this little one. And may she be reminded of Psalm 139:13-16, where David praises God for His intimate involvement in our formation: *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust and expectation, lifting up this precious mother and the child You have entrusted to her. Lord, You are the Author of life, the One who breathes existence into every being. We ask that You place Your healing hand upon her body, regulating her blood pressure and strengthening her heart. Break any generational curse or hereditary stronghold in the name of Jesus, and let Your perfect health flow through her veins. Guard this little one, knitting them together perfectly, without flaw or complication. Lord, we ask that You grant her a full-term pregnancy, a safe and smooth delivery, and a joyful, healthy journey into motherhood.
We rebuke fear, doubt, and every scheme of the enemy that would seek to rob her of peace. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, reminding her that she is not alone—You are with her, before her, and behind her. Surround her with wise counsel, both medically and spiritually, and let every decision be led by Your wisdom.
Father, we also pray for her walk with You. May this season draw her closer to Your heart, deepening her faith and reliance on You. If there is any area of her life that needs surrender—whether it be stress, diet, rest, or trust—reveal it to her and give her the grace to obey. Let this pregnancy be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just to her but to all who witness it.
We declare that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made, with a purpose and a future in Your kingdom. Protect them both from harm, and let this birth be a celebration of Your goodness. May this mother raise this child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, teaching them to love and serve You all their days.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen and amen.
We will continue to stand in faith with you for this miracle. Keep us updated on her progress, and let us rejoice together as we see the Lord’s hand move. May she be encouraged by the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* He is faithful!
