Deliverance from obsessive thoughts in the name of Jesus! Let these thoughts about this person cease in the name of Jesus!

We stand with you ### in the name of Jesus for deliverance from these obsessive thoughts and we agree with you that they must cease by the power and authority of Jesus Christ.

We know how exhausting and tormenting it can be when the mind feels captive to thoughts about another person that will not relent. This is a spiritual battle for the mind, and God has given us weapons to fight it. We are reminded that we are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ as it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:5, and that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as seen in 2 Timothy 1:7. When thoughts become obsessive, they can become an idol in our heart and steal the peace that God intends for us, so we must choose to set our minds on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and worthy of praise as taught in Philippians 4:8.

We encourage you to actively resist these thoughts rather than passively enduring them. When the thought about this person comes, we urge you to immediately turn to prayer, to speak the name of Jesus aloud, and to replace the thought with Scripture. Submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you as promised in James 4:7. Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you according to 1 Peter 5:7. Fill your mind daily with the Word of God so that you are transformed by the renewing of your mind as described in Romans 12:2. Fasting, worship, and consistent prayer will also help break the hold these thoughts have had.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer. We lift up ### to You and we thank You that You see her struggle and You desire to give her a sound mind and perfect peace. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of obsession and torment that has been harassing her mind and we command these repetitive thoughts about this person to cease and to leave now in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask You to demolish every stronghold and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of You. Wash her mind with Your Word and with Your peace that surpasses all understanding which will guard her heart and her thoughts in Christ Jesus according to Philippians 4:7. Help her to keep her mind steadfast on You, for You will keep her in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because she trusts in You as promised in Isaiah 26:3. Deliver her completely, Lord, and fill that space in her thoughts with Your presence, Your love, and Your purpose for her life. Let her mind be fixed on You and not on this person. We declare freedom, clarity, and rest over ### right now in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in this deliverance day by day. Memorize Scripture to use as a sword when the thoughts return, stay in fellowship with other believers, and do not give the enemy a foothold by dwelling on fantasies or revisiting conversations or images that feed the obsession. God is faithful to complete this work in you and to give you the peace that you are seeking in Christ.

###, thank you for sharing this so honestly. We can hear how wearying it is when thoughts about someone keep looping and will not let you rest, even when you want them to stop.

We want you to know those intrusive, unwanted thoughts do not define your heart or your faith. They can feel very insistent and demanding, and it makes sense you would feel worn down and long for relief and quiet in your mind. Jesus sees that struggle and He is not distant or frustrated with you as you bring it to Him again and again.

One thing that has helped others is to have a simple, gentle plan for when the thought comes, rather than fighting it harshly or shaming yourself. You might quietly acknowledge, this is that intrusive thought again, offer a brief prayer and turn your attention to what is in front of you, a task, a conversation, a walk. It does not make the thought disappear instantly, but it can keep it from taking more ground. Staying connected helps too, sharing with a trusted pastor or counselor in person as you continue to pray, especially if these thoughts are interfering with sleep or daily life.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we lift ### to You in the name of Jesus. You know how tired she is of these thoughts. Bring her Your peace, guard her mind, and help her to sense Your presence with her through each day. Give her wisdom, rest, and steady hope as she keeps looking to You. Lead her to the support she needs and remind her she is held by You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in prayer for deliverance, and we bring your burden before the Lord who is gracious and who says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.

That ransom is Christ Jesus our Lord, who bore the penalty for sin and who alone can save from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin. Deliverance from obsessive and troubling thoughts is not by the strength of our own will or resolution, but by the power of God. He must do the work, for He it is who brings out of the Egypt of our sorrow and looses the captive. We cannot by ourselves break the chains that bind the mind, but with God all things are possible, and He has promised to keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed upon Him.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Redeemer.

O Lord our God, be gracious unto ###. Thou knowest the thoughts that beset her and the weariness they bring. We ask that Thou wouldst deliver her from the power of darkness and from every thought that would take captive her heart. By the blood of Thy Son, our ransom, grant her release. Wash her thoroughly, cleanse her mind, and renew her thoughts after Thy holy likeness. Help her to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and to set her mind upon those things that are true and pure and lovely. Let Thy precious thoughts toward her be her comfort, for Thy thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and Thy ways higher than our ways. When she awakes, may she still be with Thee. Grant her quietness of spirit, steadiness of mind, and rest in Thy presence. Keep back her soul from the pit and her life from perishing, and let her live to declare the works of the Lord.

We encourage you to continue to look to Christ alone, to dwell much in His Word, to pray without ceasing, and to walk in fellowship with His people. The Lord who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it, and He who has delivered will yet deliver. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and trust not in your own strength but in the power of Him who has found a ransom.

May the Lord grant you His peace, a renewed mind, and a heart fixed upon Him, to the praise of His grace. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in prayer for deliverance and for peace of mind in Jesus Christ. Your desire to be free from thoughts that whirl about in storm and surge is heard by God who knows all things even before we speak, and who alone can give both deliverance from evil and supply of good through His Son.

We pray that the Lord will set your governing principle free and guard it. Scripture calls us to take the helmet of salvation, which covers and preserves us, and to quench the darts of the enemy. When those darts are quenched, the thoughts that are adverse to our salvation are driven out, and saving thoughts that bring good hope are generated within us and rest upon us. May God grant you that helmet now, that your mind may be kept in security and in quietness by faith.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to break the power of obsessive and unbridled thoughts and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. As Abraham left all else behind when he went to worship, so we pray you may learn to command intrusive thoughts with authority and say, sit there while I go to worship the Lord, and not allow worldly or restless thoughts to occupy your soul when you seek Him. God has given us the Spirit of adoption, not a spirit of fear and torment, so that we may live as His children, clothed in Christ.

May the Lord fill your mind with what is true and pure and worthy of praise, and teach you to pray with wakefulness and humility, looking not to your own strength but to His grace. We ask Him to grant you rest, to renew your mind day by day, and to keep you in His peace which passes understanding as you continue to call upon the name of Jesus for freedom. Amen.

We are joining you in prayer for deliverance in the name of Jesus, asking Him to break the power of these obsessive thoughts and to bring your mind into His peace.

Scripture says that God's thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than ours and His thoughts than our thoughts. He knows the end from the beginning, so when He acts He knows what is right and what is best. We often do what seems right to us and hope it is right, but He sees all things with perfect wisdom and love. When we begin to see with His perspective and trust His eternal plan, we can rest in Him and commit our ways to Him, knowing He will do what is best.

The Lord also shows us what true freedom is. The world talks about freedom but often lives in bondage, being driven and compelled by desires and thoughts. The freedom Jesus gives is not only freedom to choose, but freedom not to be forced to follow every thought or desire. Though many things may be lawful, not all things are helpful, and we do not want to be brought under the power of any thought or habit that would control us. An obsessive thought that returns again and again can bring a person into bondage, and Jesus came to set us free from that bondage so we are no longer pushed by it.

God invites the unrighteous to turn from evil thoughts and return to the Lord, for He will have mercy and abundantly pardon. That is our prayer for you, that as you turn to Him He will wash you with His mercy, take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and renew your mind. May He lift this heavy burden, quiet the thoughts about this person, and fill your heart and mind with what is true and pure and right, guarding you with His peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting His power to make you truly free.
