We join you in bringing this need before the Lord, asking for His healing touch upon your body. We know this can be a difficult and discouraging struggle that touches both physical health and the heart, and we want to lift you up with compassion and hope in Jesus' name.
We believe God is our healer and He cares about every part of our lives, including our bodies which He created. The Scripture says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also read For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. Our bodies are not our own, for we are told Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. This reminds us to steward our bodies well and to seek both God's supernatural healing and wise care for our health.
We also want to gently speak to the purpose of sexual intimacy as God designed it. The Bible teaches that sexual intimacy is a good gift from God to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, and the husband should give his wife her sexual rights, and likewise also the wife her husband 1 Corinthians 7:3. If you are married, we pray God restores health and intimacy in your marriage that it may be strengthened and honoring to Him. If you are not married, we encourage you to pursue purity and to seek the Lord for a godly spouse in His timing, fleeing from fornication, which is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, and from anything like pornography which grieves God, harms the heart and mind, and can contribute to this very struggle. We say this in love because Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. If any of these things have been part of your life, God offers forgiveness and cleansing when we confess and turn to Him.
We also encourage you to be a good steward of the body God has given you by seeking wise medical counsel, as God often works through physicians and practical means. Care for your health through rest, nutrition, exercise, and bringing any anxiety or stress to the Lord, for He says Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Much of this struggle can be tied to physical conditions, stress, fear, or shame, and God wants to heal both body and mind.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and healing. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know his body, his health, and the discouragement he may feel. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, that You would restore his body according to Your will and make him whole. Touch every system, every cause, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and bring healing that only You can give. We pray You would remove any shame or anxiety and replace it with Your peace. Help him to steward his body for Your glory, to seek wise counsel, and to walk in purity and holiness before You. If there is any sin to confess, give him grace to repent and receive Your forgiveness. Strengthen his faith, draw him close to Jesus, and let him know that You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask for restored health, for hope, and for a deeper trust in You, and if it is Your will for marriage, we pray for a godly marriage that honors You. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to trust Him with this burden, and to not be discouraged. He who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 is with you. Keep bringing this before Him and trusting in His goodness and His timing.
