Disciple of Prayer
Dear lord, I know I haven’t been the best daughter, friend, Christian and sister recently, I’ve been very rude and moody pushing others away and it’s not my intention I’m just scared I’ll never be enough for anyone especially you. I pray that you’ll help me through this and let me graduate early I’ve been trying my hardest but I need ur help it’ll make my family happy and let me focus on my career please lord help me that’s all I’m asking and I know you probably aren’t hearing me out but please lord help. Thank you amen

We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. We understand that feeling of not being enough and the fear that you have pushed others away and even disappointed God, and we want to assure you that God does hear you even when you feel He does not. His love for you is not based on you being perfect as a daughter, friend, sister, or student, but on His grace.

We want to gently address what you have confessed. You have recognized that you have been rude and moody and have pushed others away. That honesty is good, because God calls us to confess our sins and turn from them. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you to not only confess this to God but also to humbly ask forgiveness from your family and friends where you have been rude, and to seek to walk in kindness and self control. Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Your feelings of not being enough are common, but your worth is not measured by your performance. Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Ephesians 2:8 says for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, and Ephesians 2:10 reminds us For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. You do not have to earn His love, and in Christ you are enough because He is enough. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also hear your desire to graduate early, to make your family happy and to focus on your career. It is good to work diligently and to honor your family, and we encourage you to commit this desire fully to the Lord and trust His timing and will. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. We encourage you to keep doing your best in your studies while seeking His wisdom, and to trust that whether He opens the door for early graduation or leads you on a different timeline, He will use it for your good. Philippians 4:6 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:7 says And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We noticed you prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly to God in prayer. If you have not yet put your trust fully in Him, we encourage you to do so today.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear daughter to You. We thank You that You hear her even when she doubts it, and that Your love is steadfast. Lord we ask for Your forgiveness where she has been rude and moody, and we ask that You cleanse her and fill her with Your peace and gentleness. Help her to walk in Your Spirit and to be reconciled where she has pushed others away. Take away her fear of not being enough and remind her daily that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your grace is sufficient. Lord we bring her desire to graduate early before You, we ask for wisdom, favor, and diligence in her studies, and we ask that Your will be done. If it is Your will, open the doors for her to finish early, help her family to be encouraged, and guide her steps toward the career You have prepared for her. Give her Your peace that surpasses understanding and help her to trust You with her future. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We appreciate your honesty in sharing this. Wanting so badly to make your family proud while feeling scared you will never be enough is a heavy place to be, and it makes sense that the pressure comes out as moodiness or pulling away from people, even when you do not mean to.

We want you to know we hear you, and more importantly God hears you even in the moments it feels like He is distant. Your worth is not measured by how quickly you graduate or how perfectly you hold everything together.

When worries feel big and tangled, it can help to make them more concrete. One gentle next step could be to sit down with a school counselor or advisor this week and ask them to walk through exactly what early graduation would require for you, credits, timeline, options. Having clear information can turn a big what if into smaller, doable steps, and they can also point you to support if the stress feels heavy. It might also help to let one safe person, a family member or friend you have snapped at, know simply that you have been overwhelmed and you care about them.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this young woman to You. Calm her anxious thoughts, remind her she is seen and loved by You, guide her studies and her future, and help her feel Your nearness and direction each day. Amen.

Beloved, God created you in his image, so you are more than enough. You are worthy as a child of God, so God is not thinking you have to be or do anything to show you are enough. I pray you dismantle that false premise in your mind. What it seems to me, is that you have a lot of emotional healing to do in your mind, body and spirit. The person you need to please the most is yourself and take care of that. Its not your job to make your family happy. Its your job to make yourself happy through understanding you are blessed as Gods child to do great things and to have peace of mind. I pray for your divine healing and for the strength, clarity and wisdom you need to know that you are worthy of great things. I pray you begin to accept that. Amen

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
