We lift this request to the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. First, we want to affirm that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray for the ### and the ### mentioned in this request, that if they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit would draw them near. May they hear the gospel, repent of their sins, and surrender their lives to the Lordship of Christ. Father, we ask that You open their hearts to receive Your truth, that they may be born again by the Spirit and washed clean by the blood of Jesus.
We also stand in agreement for deliverance from the demonic influence tied to this memory of a song. The enemy seeks to torment and distract, but we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every unclean spirit associated with this song—its sounds, its words, its title—and command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that any lingering effects of this oppression would be broken, and that the mind would be renewed by the Word of God.
We also address the mention of lust in this request. Lust is a snare of the enemy, designed to lead us away from purity and holiness. The Bible warns us to flee from sexual immorality, for every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18). We encourage repentance and a turning away from any thoughts, habits, or influences that stir up lustful desires. Instead, we pray for a heart that seeks after righteousness, for blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied (Matthew 5:6).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We ask that You would save the ### and the ### if they do not yet know You, drawing them into a relationship with Your Son. We break the power of the demonic memory of this song, its sounds, and its influence, and we command every unclean spirit to leave in Jesus’ name.
