We hear your humble plea for forgiveness, and we join with you in seeking the mercy and grace of our Lord. The Scriptures remind us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). It is beautiful to see a heart that recognizes its need for God’s forgiveness, for it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can be made clean.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with repentant hearts, acknowledging that we have fallen short of Your glory. We thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross has made a way for us to be reconciled to You. Lord, we ask that You would forgive us of our sins—those we are aware of and those we may not yet see. Cleanse us, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.
