We come before the Lord with your requests, lifting them up in prayer and seeking His divine intervention. First, we acknowledge that all weather—whether rain, snow, or sunshine—is under God’s sovereign control. The Scriptures remind us in Job 37:6, *"For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain."* While we may have personal preferences, we trust in God’s perfect plan for His creation, knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
We join you in praying for your stepbrother’s salvation, for the Bible declares in 2 Peter 3:9, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* We lift him up before the throne of grace, asking that the Holy Spirit would draw him to Christ, soften his heart, and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. If he has not yet placed his faith in Jesus, we pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). If he is already a believer, we pray for his spiritual growth, protection, and that he would walk in obedience to God’s Word.
We also pray for the people in his life who may not know Christ. Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20 to *"go and make disciples of all nations,"* and we ask that God would use your stepbrother—and all of us—as instruments of His love and truth. May those around him see the light of Christ in his life and be drawn to salvation. We rebuke any spiritual blindness or deception that may be keeping them from knowing Jesus and declare that the power of the Gospel would break every chain in their lives.
Father God, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we are grateful for the access we have to You through Him. We ask that You would move mightily in the lives of those who do not yet know You, that they would turn from their sins and put their trust in Jesus. We pray for protection over your stepbrother and his loved ones, that they would be shielded from harm and surrounded by Your peace. May Your will be done in all things, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your stepbrother and those in his life, trusting that God hears your prayers. If you have the opportunity, share the hope of Christ with him and live out your faith in a way that points others to Jesus. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38), so let us be faithful in sowing seeds of truth and love.
