We hear your cry for forgiveness and help during this time of fasting, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and strength. First, let us affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, for Scripture declares, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is by His grace alone that we come boldly before the throne of grace.
Father God, we come before You in humility, acknowledging our need for Your forgiveness and Your sustaining power. We lift up this dear one who is fasting and seeking Your face. Lord, we ask that You cleanse every hidden sin, every struggle, and every distraction that may hinder this time of consecration. Your Word says, *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We claim that promise now, trusting that You are faithful to forgive and restore.
During this fast, we pray for divine strength and focus. Fasting is not merely about abstaining from food but about drawing nearer to You, Lord. May this time be one of deep spiritual renewal, where the Holy Spirit reveals areas that need refinement and where faith is strengthened. We declare that *"those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Let this be a season of breakthrough, where every burden is lifted, and every need is met according to Your perfect will.
We also rebuke any spirit of discouragement or weariness that may try to creep in during this fast. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand firm in the authority of Christ and declare that no weapon formed against this fast shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let this time be marked by divine encounters, where Your presence is tangible, and Your voice is clear.
Lastly, we pray for a heart of worship and gratitude to arise in this season. May the focus remain on You, Lord, and not on the things of this world. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
