We hear your cry for forgiveness and mercy, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s grace. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Your humble plea in the name of Jesus Christ is heard, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (Acts 4:12). It is only through the blood of Jesus, shed for us on the cross, that we are washed clean and made new (Ephesians 1:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with repentant hearts, acknowledging that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23). We lift up this dear one who has sought Your forgiveness in the precious name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You would wash away every wrongdoing, every transgression, and every hidden fault. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Let them walk in the light of Your truth, no longer burdened by guilt but filled with the peace that comes from knowing they are forgiven.
Father, we also pray that You would reveal any areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will. Show them where they may have strayed, whether in thought, word, or deed, and grant them the strength to turn away from sin and toward You. Help them to live a life that honors You, walking in holiness and righteousness all their days (1 Peter 1:15-16).
Lord, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life (Romans 10:9). May this one grow in their relationship with You, seeking Your face daily and relying on Your strength to overcome temptation. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith and hold them accountable.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that would try to convince them they are unworthy of Your love or forgiveness. The truth is, You love them with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3), and nothing can separate them from that love (Romans 8:38-39). We declare that they are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we pray that they would walk in the fullness of that identity.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you as you continue to seek Him with all your heart. Remember, His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and He delights in showing compassion to those who turn to Him. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
