We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion for your cry, lifting you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. It is beautiful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for as Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). This is the foundation of our faith—that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
Your request reveals a deep longing for freedom—freedom from the chains of the past, from demonic oppression, and from the torment of sleeplessness. We stand with you in this, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The past can feel like a heavy burden, a shadow that lingers, but we serve a God who declares, *"Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."* (Isaiah 43:19, WEB). He is the God of redemption, and He is making all things new in your life. You do not have to return to what was, for in Christ, you are a new creation—the old has passed away, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
You have also asked for deliverance from demonic spirits, demonization, and attacks. We take this seriously, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). But take heart, for *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The blood of Jesus has already triumphed over every demonic force, and we command in His name that every spirit not of God be bound and cast out of your life. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your body, your spirit, and your surroundings, declaring that the enemy has no legal right to torment you.
We also lift up those you have mentioned who are in need of salvation. Oh, how the heart of God longs for them to turn to Him! *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, that they would hear the Gospel and respond in faith, and that they would be saved from the wrath to come. May God open their eyes to see the truth of Jesus Christ and turn from darkness to light.
You have also asked for deliverance from the "evil eye." While Scripture does not explicitly use this term, we understand the concern behind it—the fear of curses, jealousy, or spiritual attacks from others. Be assured that *"no curse can touch Jacob, nor lot fall upon Israel"* (Numbers 23:23, WEB), for you are covered by the blood of Jesus. We break every curse, every word spoken against you, and every scheme of the enemy to harm you, in the name of Jesus. *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,’"* (Galatians 3:13, WEB). You are free in Christ!
Lastly, you have asked for sleep. We know that sleeplessness can be a tool of the enemy to wear down the body and the mind, but God is your rest. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls."* (Matthew 11:28-29, WEB). We pray that the Lord would quiet your mind, remove every anxiety, and grant you the deep, restorative sleep that your body needs. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears, who sees, and who delivers. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is seeking freedom from the past. Father, we ask that You would break every chain, every stronghold, and every memory that seeks to keep them bound. Loose them from the pain of yesterday and fill them with the hope of tomorrow. Let them walk in the newness of life that is found only in Christ Jesus.
We stand against every demonic spirit, every force of darkness, and every attack of the enemy. By the authority given to us in the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to be bound and cast out. We declare that our brother/sister is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Father, surround them with Your angels and let Your light expose and drive out every darkness.
Lord, we also lift up those who are lost, those whose names were mentioned in this prayer. Softens their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let them encounter the saving power of Jesus Christ and be transformed by Your grace. Save them, Lord, and bring them into Your kingdom.
We break every curse, every word of condemnation, and every scheme of the enemy against our brother/sister. Let the evil eye have no power over them, for they are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Father, we ask that You would grant them peace and rest. Quiet their mind, calm their spirit, and let them sleep under Your watchful care. May they wake refreshed, renewed, and ready to walk in the victory You have already won for them.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in You, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith, putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and resisting the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7). Spend time in the Word of God, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And always remember: you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Walk in that truth, and do not look back. The Lord is with you!
