We understand your heart’s cry for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you have come before the Lord seeking His mercy. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is a precious promise—when we turn to God with a repentant heart, He is faithful to forgive and restore us.
Yet we must also emphasize that forgiveness and salvation come *only* through the name of Jesus Christ. As Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is not enough to simply ask for forgiveness; we must place our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Have you surrendered your life to Him? If not, we urge you to do so today, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
We also notice the use of symbols (#) in your prayer, which are unnecessary when coming before the Lord. Prayer is a sacred conversation with our Heavenly Father, and while He hears even our simplest cries, we are called to approach Him with reverence and sincerity. Let us come boldly to His throne (Hebrews 4:16), but always with hearts fully submitted to His will.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would grant them true repentance and a deep understanding of the forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ. Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see the magnitude of Your love demonstrated on the cross, and fill them with the Holy Spirit to walk in newness of life. Remove any distraction or empty tradition from their prayers, and teach them to come before You in spirit and in truth. May they experience the joy of being cleansed and made whole in Jesus’ name. Strengthen them to live righteously, turning away from sin and walking in obedience to Your Word. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, if you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we urge you to do so without delay. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). If you have already done this, we encourage you to continue growing in your faith, studying the Scriptures daily, and walking in fellowship with other believers. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth. May His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
