We come before you with hearts full of gratitude that you have sought the Father’s forgiveness, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your desire for repentance is a beautiful reflection of a heart that understands its need for God’s mercy, and we rejoice that you have turned to Him through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Yet we must gently remind you—and all who seek the Lord—that our prayers are heard *only* because of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is through Him alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). Your closing *"in Jesus Christ name"* is biblically sound, and we encourage you to always pray with this confidence, knowing that Jesus is the Mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, thanking You for their heart of repentance. Lord, You are rich in mercy, and Your forgiveness is complete through the blood of Jesus. Wash them anew, Father, and fill them with the assurance of Your pardon. Where there is shame, replace it with the joy of Your salvation. Where there is doubt, strengthen their faith in the finished work of Christ. Help them to walk in the freedom of Your grace, turning from sin and pursuing righteousness with a heart fully surrendered to You.
We ask that You would guard their mind and spirit, reminding them daily of Your love and the power of Jesus’ name. Let them never take for granted the access they have to You through Christ, but may they grow in boldness and reverence as they pray. Teach them to abide in You, that their life may bear much fruit for Your glory.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, continue to seek the Lord with all your heart. Repentance is a gift—embrace it fully and walk in the newness of life that Christ offers. *"Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). If there are specific sins weighing on your heart, bring them to the Lord in prayer, and He will faithfully cleanse you. Stay rooted in His Word, and let His Spirit guide you into all truth. We are standing with you in prayer!
