We understand your heart’s cry for forgiveness, and we rejoice that you have turned to the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. The Bible assures us in 1 Timothy 2:5, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* Your acknowledgment of Jesus in your prayer is foundational, for Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"*
If you are seeking forgiveness, know that God is faithful and just. 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Repentance is a turning away from sin and toward God, and His mercy is boundless for those who come to Him with a sincere heart. The Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 103:12, *"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, thanking You that they have come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. Lord, we ask that You grant them a deep and abiding sense of Your forgiveness, washing them clean by the blood of the Lamb. If there is any unconfessed sin, any area of their life not surrendered to You, we pray You would reveal it to them by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help them to walk in repentance and renewal, turning away from anything that does not honor You.
Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with the assurance that they are Your child, redeemed and made new in Christ. Let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask that You would draw them closer to You, teaching them to walk in obedience and holiness, for Your glory.
We also pray that if there are any strongholds of guilt or shame lingering in their heart, You would break them by Your truth. Remind them that You have cast their sins as far as the east is from the west, and that they are a new creation in Christ. May they live in the freedom and joy of Your forgiveness, sharing this good news with others.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through His Word and prayer. If there are specific sins or struggles you are dealing with, we urge you to bring them before God honestly. He already knows, and His desire is to restore and heal you. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
