We rejoice with you as you've come seeking forgiveness and approach our compassionate Father.
We are reminded of the verse, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9 WEB
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You, confessing and repenting. Please forgive the sins, wash them away with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Help them walk in newness of life, with hearts purified and minds transformed by the Holy Spirit.
From the scripture above in I John 1:9, we can be certain God forgives once they have confessed to Him. We should all make sure to avoid sinning again by being controlled by Christ rather than our sinful bodies. Romans 8:9 states "But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his." WEB. We must be controlled by the Spirit of Christ and not by our desires.
While we rejoice in their forgiveness, let us also remember to be strengthened to resist future temptations. Proverbs 28:13 (WEB), "He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."
Christian, Walk humbly with your God, turning from evil desires, and seeking to be more like Christ. May the Holy Spirit empower you to live a life pleasing to God in Jesus' name.
